The Void

Am I going nuts? I could've sworn I've read something about the Void in the Dresden Files, but I did a quick search and I couldn't find anything. Am I missing it, or is it just fanon a la Denarian series?

Edit: I know where I've read it. It was a DC Lucifer concept.

If I remember correctly, in Death Masks that snakeman Denarian (Saluriel) didn't have any problem with giving the coin to the Knights. I think that if the Void was that bad in Dresden universe, Denarian would have sacrificed his host even for a small chance to get away.

I am pretty sure when Shez and I were brainstorming that we had void = Outside.

I will search again, but I want to say that it is canon and not fanon.

I think it's just an extrapolation on the Outside based on canon evidence, given that we don't have any accurate description in canon of what it is actually like. From what I recall, the Mordite (deathstone) used in Death Masks for Harry's and Ortega's duel is made up of the matter of the Outside and will kill anything it touches inside our universe. Congealed anti-life I think it's described as... Doesn't make the Outside seem such a nice place, but doesn't make it seem like a void either.

Okay after a thorough search I found no sentence connecting Void with the Outside.

So it is as Aekiel says an extrapolation you can make, or a fanon concept that is probably the fault of one of the DLP writers, haha.

Unless Butcher said something in one of his interviews, it is definitely not in his books or short stories.
