    Law Abiding Citizen

Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is an upstanding family man whose wife and daughter are brutally murdered during a home invasion. When the killers are caught, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), a hotshot young Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Over his objections, Nick is forced by his boss to offer one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice.

The man who got away with murder is found dead and Clyde Shelton coolly admits his guilt. Then he issues a warning to Nick: Either fix the flawed justice system that failed his family, or key players in the trial will die.

    ^This.

I like the little tag line in the movie. A man who lost everything is a capable of anything.

    Or something like that.

You really shouldn't be able able to bargain when you have committed double murder.

Other then that, I can really see this hitting cinemas next autumn!

Can't wait for the movie to come out, hope it will also be released along the same date in Germany. The trailer looked awesome.

Just saw it, and it's pretty good. It didn't amaze me, or anything, but it was as good as I was expecting.

I just looked at Wikipedia. Awesome reliable source I know but it said what I though of the movie from the trailers from Inglourious.

    Reception

The film has received mostly negative reviews with many reviewers calling it "absurd" "revolting" and "unnessicarely violent" and currently holds a 19% 'Rotten' rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 77 critic reviews.[8]

On the other hand, absurd, revolting and unnecessarily violent is exactly what DLP wants. I'll go see it when it comes out here.

Compared to the shit on 4chan, this is really bland.

And yes, it was very bland.

Too many times I was drawn out of my suspension of disbelief [For instance, why the fuck is a lawyer leading the investigation as if he's a god damned FBI agent?], and the plot kinda sucked.

Whatever though. Went to a friend's house after so it wasn't all bad.

Fyi, critics suck dick. They rated Super Troopers poorly among other good movies. I've learned to ignore RT and Metacritic.

I just came back from seeing it and quite honestly, it wasn't bad at all. I was a bit disappointed as it did get really ridiculous at the end but you got what you wanted: A psychopath who wanted vengeance. I think spill.com said that this movie might also have been called "The wrong guy to fuck with." and that pretty much sums up the whole movie.
For those who just want to enjoy their time at the cinema without worrying too much about Logic, this movie is great, it even raises a few valid points about lawyers and the law in general even though it is greatly exaggerated.

    Would give it a 4/5.
