Can anyone here recommend a good music/mixing software program? For the last few months I've been using Reason and Virtual DJ but it's not really working out well. Reason seems to be more of a live set program to me and I don't have any of the gear to use with it.

I've looked at a few programs and it seems like Fruity Loops is probably one of the better ones - has anyone used it before? I'll probably be mixing mainly trance, jungle, DnB, Goa & Psytrance so if anyone has any experience in those fields...

    Help?

Fruity Loops you mean? In that case, yes, it's a pretty good program and very intuitive - I've always had trouble with Reason although many people prefer it over FL.

And if you use FL or any other program compatible with VSTi's, I'd recommend you to check out the "Nexus" plugin - it gives you hundreds of very good sounds which can help you make music near the professional level with very little effort, when combined with Fruity Loops.

Fruity loops is quite good assuming you don't use the horrible stock sounds.

Dunno about mixing stuff, but if you ever seek to compose music, I would recommend Finale.

I use/used Fruity Loops. I like it better than Reason.
