I have Clamwin antivirus for my computer. I run the scan of my computer and it finds infected files.

How do I delete them? I can't find a virus vault or anything like that in the clamwin program.

Is there a better FREE antivirus program that any of you have had experience with and would reccomend?

Seeing that I have infected files and not knowinbg how to get rid of them is rather distressing.

Get rid of ClamWin and install Avast 5 beta or MSE.

I installed the free avast 4.8 home edition. It says I have 59 days left for the demo. Why call it free if its a demo?

I need a FREE non demo program.

It's not a demo, you need to register though but it's completely free (beer). Also, I didn't say Avast 4.8, I said 5.x beta. If you aren't going to read, just go to : http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ and install that.

AVG works fairly well for me. It's also free. No demo's.

Avast found shit no other software, including AVG, found for me. Like eight separate toolkits, trojans, and others. Yay, viruses.

And yay Avast 4.8 Home Edition. Because 5 beta wouldn't load off of the link the admin gave on the avast forums...

^Avast seems to be doing a fair bit better than AVG lately. Of course, browsing smartly will save you from 99.99% of viruses.

Get Malwarebytes free and scan. It's what I use at work to disinfect the worst of computers.

I was told "super spyware" is also good to use.

Malwarebytes is pretty good. I use it myself. And I personally, prefer avast over AVG, though I haven't used the latest one yet.
