    I think that it was an interesting piece, I've been following it for a while and after searching for it on the forums I have found that no one has posted it.

    The Review:

    I wasn't going to read because it was a mentor fic, I thought that I would not like it at all. But I read it anyways.

    I found it to be surprisingly enjoyable, once you get past the first few chapters, you'll find that it diverges from canon nicely and subtly.

    That's just my opinion of course.

    I found that the mentor did fade into the background as Naruto made friends. I don't know how to make spoiler tags so I won't go more in-depth.
