This might be old news around here, but I did a search and couldn't find a thread on it. Apologies if I missed one.

Apparently, Eoin Colfer has written a sixth book to the Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy.

Aside from being disturbed that this was allowed in the first place, I'm curious if it's actually any good. Has anyone here read it yet?

Haven't read it, but I have met Eoin Colfer once or twice and read a few of his books. Nice enough guy, but I'm not sure he can pull of Adams' style. :/

Hmmm, been awhile since I read it as I read it just after it came out.

It was...okay. Obviously it wasn't as good as Adams but I seem to remember it having it's moments.

It wasn't bad. Hugely unneccesary, and clearly nowhere near as good as Adams, but not bad. Fair play to them though - I can't think of anyone else who would have been better to do it, off the top of my head.
