Summary: Waking up in an unfamiliar room one morning, Phoenix Wright suddenly finds a Prosecutor's Badge in his possession. With most of his allies suddenly acting hostile towards him, will he figure out what truly caused the world he knew to suddenly change?

Basically, this story asks the question, what if things had turned out differently? Suppose Wright had ended up a Prosecutor, instead of a Defense Attorney?

This isn't an AU story though; it basically picks up after the Trials and Tribulations storyline and Phoenix suddenly finds himself in some kind of alternate reality where he's a Prosecutor and things are very different.

I found the story to be interesting. The author uses a "game-like" format in certain scenes, like the Witness Testimony or Cross-examination during the particular trial. I didn't find it overly distracting, instead, it helped to keep track of the arguments both sides made.

The author has also meticulously crafted the mystery thus far, with lots of behind-the-scenes changes to the universe, along with (in certain cases), radically different personalities for certain characters. (Hint: If Phoenix is now the Prosecutor, who do you suppose is his counterpart Defense Attorney?)

It's about 21 chapters in so far, but the story has had me hooked from the beginning. 5/5 for me.

 

I read this work, and have to say that I mostly enjoyed it. However, I found the "game-like" format in scenes to be kind of a weak point as it just seems kind of sad and childish. 4/5.

The author has taken it down, but still, seriously? Goddamn. Of course it has to be a decent fic that an author has to be a greedy dumbass on.
