So I herd there might be people here who like scary movies?:awesome

What it says on the tin. Recommend the scariest movie you know/seen lately. Maybe this thread can act as a filter against all the shit out there.

My contribution? The Haunting 1963 original, not the shitty remake they did in 1999 with Zeta Jones's tits. It was, in a word, almost the perfect horror movie. It relied entirely on suspense, atmosphere, and the characters themselves. I'll say nothing of the film itself, that would ruin it. But it's a must watch.

Solaris is pretty scary, but not the scariest.

Eden Lake is worth a watch. If you can get into it, it's chilling as fuck.

Let The Right One In, if you haven't seen it. Subtitled, not dubbed.

28 Days Later. I'd be surprised if you haven't seen this, but it's always worth a rewatch.

1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers with Donald Sutherland. I hate it when we lose, but this movie made it seem inevitable. Also, the snatcher scream (shudder).

1982 John Carpenter's the Thing (this year's model is a prequel to this one). I almost think the original story title would be better: 'Who Goes There?'. Really cool because it ends without knowing for sure if we've won or lost, yet that's the right point to end it.

1988 the Serpent and the Rainbow - by Wes Craven, with Bill Pullman- freaky voodoo zombie story, not just for being adapted from non-fiction, but the main character gets tortured by Haitians... very, very mean Haitians. Any man will cringe.

Suicide Club. By far the most twisted movie. Second up for BOO! horror = One Missed Call (2003)

The uncensored version of Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence. Not so much scary as have a bucket next to you when you puke.

    Audition.

Circa 1999 I think? Japan at it's most twisted. And a second for suicide club.

Honorable Mentions from me include Misery, The Shinning and Psycho (original).

I just want to share that I thought Paranormal Activity wasn't that scary. It's just some really weird things going on.
