I don't know if this deserved a new thread but I didn't know where else to put it and I thought some of you guys might like this.

So what do you guys think about it, did they have to make a new avatar or do you think there just trying to milk it.

Apparently from the trailer it seems Korra has already mastered all the elements. Do you guys think its a nice move on the producers part or what.

I also like how it looks the elemental "continent" seems to have advanced, and I heard that there are no individual nations anymore and that they have all been united. So if any of you guys have heard or read anything about it please share.

 

They had to make a new one. ATLA is the best show to ever be on Nickolodeon, including Rugrats. It is one of the only good cartoons to come out of America in a long time.

They didn't have to, but I'm really glad they did. The universe deserves continual exploration.

Considering it's supposed to be a short series (~26 episodes as I understand it), I'm all for it. Lets us jump straight in without retreading the same stuff we learned about Bending in The Last Airbender.

I don't know whether there aren't any nations anymore, but the city it takes place in (Republic City, was it?) is supposed to be independent of them and serve as a multicultural hub. Which is great, as we can have aspects of each culture while keeping the story relatively self-contained.
