First day post and all. I'm all for lynching a lurker on day 1.

I'm actually scared with all these small sized scum QT's. It makes it very hard to predict scum patterns.

Then again maybe Evan Tide just wants to put his scumbuddy Jon in a position of power (figuratively speaking).
The best thing to do though is probably lynching a lurker like was done in the previous game - that worked out rather well IIRC.

 

With the exception of a few, though, most are prolific posters. Also, the smaller scum factions means that scum are less likely to get pinpointed as collaborating. Of course, there's still the scum instinct to lurk, so I guess we could rely on that. And it did work out nicely last game (if more by luck than not).

 

The new and more powerful version of the scum scare me. >.<

Lynching a lurker is probably our best bet since it's Day 1.

This is pretty much a veteran Mafia though, so will anyone be stupid enough to lurk on the first day?

Well I'm pretty sure I ain't a vet and besides there's always someone how just forgets/doesn't have time/has hardware problems/personal business.

The 48h makes this less probable but I still say we get a non poster or a 1 post person.

yeah, this game started way too soon. It'll be better when it kicks into gear but day 1 is always a drag.

Wait...I thought this wasn't supposed to start until tomorrow at 10 pm...

The sign-up thread did say the 13th, did it not?

And, if anyone cares, I'm hardly a veteran either. Only game I've played prior to this was the Werewolf Beginners' Cup. I did post a lot though.

 

Yeah, it's not exactly full of veterans, but there are enough around here that we need to be wary. Especially with the shared scum QT, they'd likely warn less experienced members against lurking as well, and push them to post more. Which is why, like I said, a lynch-the-lurkers strategy isn't exactly reliable, and might even be predicted and exploited by scum.

That said, the first day lynch is usually uninformed and random, on the slightest pretext (lol 'we'), so lynching lurkers is not really a bad idea for today, especially given how scum are predisposed to lurking.

 

eh, there's 29 players in the game. One of them is bound to not post.
