I used to love the show, so I'll probably go see the movie just to see if the it matches up.

 

I....am actually a little excited. I used to love the show and the comic. The casting of Sabrina will be interesting to see. I sure hope they don't fuck up.

Except for the fact that she's British and wouldn't look good as a blonde, even if she is a natural blonde. I could excuse the latter, but Sabrina is an American (90s) classic, and I don't want any Brits near it.

It's not about them being unable to play convincing Americans. It's about that being a stupid suggestion because they're going to pick an American.

 

First couple seasons of Sabrina (until college really) the TV show were mostly great. I've watched some reruns recently as they're on at 12:30am as I'm always up and quite a lot of those episodes hold up well. The TV movies for the show weren't too good, but maybe, just maybe this could work.

As long as Salem gets his awesome lines, I think I can forgive the inevitably corny nature of some main plot. His lines often saved some of the duller episodes.

Melissa Joan Hart's acting was a very mixed bag, so chances are whoever is cast will be better anyway.

I think i'll get dragged to watch this, not that i'm complaining.

 

The only thing I know of that show is that at the time I was totally in love with a girl named Sabrina, and when I mentioned it to friends, they thought I was in love with Melissa Joan Hart. I had to explain to them that I had no idea about the show and that the girl I liked was in one of my college classes, and her name actually was Sabrina.

I vaguely remember a cartoon, but I don't recall ever watching a live-action series.

I guess if it's anything like The Dresden Files I'll go see it. Otherwise, probably not.
