The latest game has me wanting some good stories on it. I'd prefer something with Desmond as the protagonist, maybe something present day focused, but I'm not too fussed, as long as it's good writing.

Really not bothered about pairings as long as there's no slash.

It's a crossover with Familiar of Zero, where Ezio gets summoned as the familiar. Quite good, but probably not much like what you're looking for.

Desmond-centric. Unfortunately the AC fandom doesn't really seem to have much great material, but this is one of the better ones, I thought. It's not spectacular and the grammar could do with a bit of work, but it's not terrible. It is hinged off one of the bigger cliches in the fandom, however, but I enjoyed it. Shame it seems abandoned, though.

The story discussed here is my personal favorite of the fandom (not that i have read all that many AC fanfics), no Desmond though.

Still, very well written. Follows an OC in AC1.

Crossover with The Company Novels though I dont think prior knowledge is needed.

Warning: This is a fic thats a nice time waster. Other than that dont expect too much of a conflict. The character we're introduced to basically bootstraps technology by several decades if not a century.

Still I kind of liked it. Even though I recognize some if not most wont.

Should warn you that some of the conflict resolution goes real quick.

"Hmm should I make him immortal so he will never die and leave me?"
