Okay, I've just seen these again after years and I have remembered how effin good they are! Christopher Walken as evil angel Gabriel. Lots of violence, taking of hearts etc. so good. Even if you're atheist etc, you should try to het hold of these films, they are thoughtful, funny, disturbing and enjoyable.

 

Oh my, I loved these films.
I haven't watched them in ages but they are definitely worth watching.

I always thought the ending was sad, I found myself feeling sorry for Gabriel.

But they are really good and not over done.
I'd certainly recommend them.

I saw one, and it was great, didn't even know they made sequel's. Do the sequels follow the story from #1, or do they all branch out all over the place?

 

I watched the 1st one and didn't like it. Found it pretty stupid.

 

Yes Midknight the sequels continue the war in heaven and are in my opinion worth watching.

I thought they were an interesting insight to how God and Angels are perceived.

I thought Christopher Walken was amazing as Gabriel.

 

The whole premise of the second war was quite believable. After all, as Thomas says in the first film, angels went out to punish and kill, hardly likely to be strumming the old harps on fluffy clouds. I love Gabriel in these films. Christopher Walken was a perfect choice I think. The right mix of menace and oddly endearing personable politeness. Vigo Mortensson (SP?) as lucifer rocked too. I always imagined Lucifer as a bit nutty, not just plain "I will kill you" evil, but "i will send you mad by forcing you to listen to britney spears for eternity" evil. love it.
