Hey Dlp. I'm building my new pc and I'm looking to spend around 200 bucks for the graphics card. What's my best bet?

A 7850 it beats out the 650ti for most applications.

Edit: Uhh Newegg has a 7870 for $200

Depending on how much you game, you might want to spend more on your graphics card and less on your processor. Graphics cards tend to be the bottleneck in most systems these days.

But if you're just an occasional gamer then ignore this.

The 7870 is approaching $200 regular price (and as KGB pointed out, can get that low on sale). It looks like the regular GTX 660 is down to about $200 as well. Either of these is going to be your best bet - the 7870 is a bit more expensive, but it performs slightly better than the 660. Stretching up to $250, you can get a 7870 based on the architecture of the 7950, which is a pretty kickass card. PowerColor makes one (7870 Myst), and Sapphire's 7870 XT might be one, though I'm not sure of that.

Due to birthday checks, graphics card budget has increased by about 100. Any new suggestions?

Radeon 7950? I'm partial to the Gigabyte brand. Right at $299 for 3GB, your new budget. Might could find it cheaper somewhere.

Though it might help to know what your resolution is and what the other parts you're getting are. It might be overkill, etc.

Why not get a new i5 CPU? IIRC they're superior and budget doesn't appear to be a huge deal.
