View Full Version : What do You Look for in a Girl/Guy?

Giovanni
08-28-2005, 06:32 PM
Just out of curiosity here... What characteristics do you all look for in a possible better half?

Giovanni will start it off.

Giovanni looks for an atheletic (but not bulky) girl with good eye's and intelligence.

SlytherinDamian
08-28-2005, 10:34 PM
Anorexia... willing to give me money... being quiet... a nice ass. You know, the good stuff. Hardcore criminal tendancies are a plus, I must say. Knowing that she has your back if you come home covered in someone elses blood helps build trust.

Giovanni
08-28-2005, 10:42 PM
Anorexia?

I like them skinny, but not corpse like... Besides if they are anorexic how can they have your back in a fight?

Criminal tendencies are definately a bonus... Last year was funny, on mischief night me a couple friends and my friends gf @ the time hade a slingshot out of surgical tubing and a funnel, we called it the funnelator.

You haven't lived until you've launched 200 bucks worth of eggs at your rival schools windows/various assholes in your own districts houses.

SlytherinDamian
08-28-2005, 10:58 PM
I'm not sure where you draw the line at corpse-hood, but I like to see some ribs. But I'm not sexist, I feel the same way about guys. I think fasting for 1 week out of a month (minimum) should be mandatory for everyone. I hate fat, even 'healthy' fat. I think the Olsen twins are the perfect weight and build for a non-athletic female. Of course an athletic woman would be given more mass allowance foe some muscle, but even then I think it should be thin, lithe musculature, not anything too thick. While I was largely jesting in my other post, I seriously hate fat. Hate it like I hate Ron Weasley...

And I didn't mean she has to throw down and fight some cops (though that'd be sweet), I meant more along the lines of helping me cover up the crime and create an alabi. lol

Anorexia.....no vomiting for me...willingness to do bad thing if needed is good, always good. must be loyal... cant always keep any eye on her now can we... and eyes are really, really important.

SlytherinDamian
08-28-2005, 11:03 PM
Vomitting is bulemia (I think), not anorexia, but as long as it isn't on me, thats fine too. I've done it before, but I couldn't handle making a habit out of it, so I went with fasting a lot, and eating less fatty food.

Midknight
08-29-2005, 12:22 AM
shes gotta be slighty what assholes would call "chubby" for me personally.

I cannot stand to see each and every rib, nor can I stand bending her over for some fun, and getting bruises from the knifelike hipbones with no fat/cushioning on them.

I'm not talking fat, I draw the line around 180, but I ain't touching something 120 or under. The various bones hurt when you're trying to do stuff, and it just does not look healthy at all.

What most consider beautiful I often consider borderline disgusting. I don't enjoy seeing most of the celebrities that are out there now, as most of the girls have this skeletal shrunken head thing going on, where their cheekbone area's skin is so sunken in, they look like a corpse.

Look at Lindasy Lohan, so was a freaking goddess, now she's bone thing, and looks disgusting.

Dark Syaoran

I know aye, she looks URGH! now.

The girl needs some meat mate. In the right places of course. Curves and shit. None of this bullshit anorexia. I find that pretty wrong... very wrong.

Those supermodels are a perfect example. They might be pretty but theirs bodies are not something to be desired, I dont care what anybody says. A few arent as bad as the rest thou.

S'not chubby Mid, its being healthy and not wasting your life on starving your self.

Vomitting is bulemia (I think), not anorexia,

Bulimia is when you can't stop eating.

A lot of people that are suffering from anorexia put their fingers in their thoughts so they can puke up the food.

I agree with you.

No anorexia for me. Ordinary and with a healthy body is enough. Personality is damn important to. It doesnít matter if they look beautiful if you can't stand them.

Giovanni
08-29-2005, 03:50 PM
I will agree with that point. Though really I still don't think I could find myself sexually attracted to someone who was fat... No matter how smart they were. I might be shallow in that aspect... but at least I'm honest.

Midknight
08-29-2005, 08:07 PM
I'm shallow enough to admit, when I'm with a girl who develops noticible cellulite, it's time for the chick to diet.

Otherwise, hell baby if you want to eat a steak go for it. I've dated too many girls in high school that were right at 110ish, flat muscled stomaches, and ate literally a salad for lunch, a salad for dinner, and drank nothing but water. They were always faint, weak, annoying as shit to be around b/c they always had attitudes from being hungry.... no freaking thank you.

I'll take the girl you consider the "fat" one in the group because she's a size 10-14, and you know what? The size 10-14ish ones will treat you like you are GOD, because you go for them, and not the stick thin chicks who live off of breath mints because they always have to hide the vomit breath.

You are right, but both can involve vomitting, and neither require it. I was mistaken. Very interesting... I would say that if you eat a lot, but hate being fat, your only disorder is idiocy though...

As for Lindsey Lohan (sp?) the only thing shes done (according to her) is started eating less junk food and exercising. I think she looks better than ever.

Dark Syaoran
08-30-2005, 03:06 AM
Better than ever!?!? URGH! She looks like a broomstick.

I was watching C4 (music channel) and the host of this show called 'Select' even said that she's got problems. Went from healthy and hot to... URGH!

I was watching Select today and it had her video clip from that song 'First'. Well, her waist is SO SMALL! It's shocking how thin she is.

LMAO.

http://users.nehp.net/marbles/lindsay/pics/cracked.jpg

Are you seriosuly trying to claim that this is your grand vision of attractive Damien? We shall have to agree to differ.

I'm with Midnight 100%. Uber thin is not cool. Besides that, i think the face is the most important feature. And I like black hair/dark complexions.

Oh and I suspose personality comes in there somewhere too.

SlytherinDamian
08-30-2005, 07:51 PM
I don't like that dress/shoe combination, and I'm not a fan of dyed hair ever, but yes, I think she looks perfect there, body wise. I wouldn't object to a little toning though. I would note though that physical attractiveness is not a priority to me however. I need intellectual stimulation. I'd rather have a meaningful discussion than fuck. But I'm weird like that...

Giovanni
08-30-2005, 08:51 PM
Your not the only one. I would just like to have an intellectual conversation with a girl who wont die of starvation or heart attack.

When I say I want an atheletic chick I mean it... Just as long as she isn't a power lifter... They scare me.

Dark Syaoran
08-30-2005, 09:17 PM
She looks horrible, lol. Even without those shoes and dress. You know what she needs? Some fucking KFC!

Of course personallity matters. Doesnt matter how hot someone is, if you cant stand them then... well, yeah. I know someone thats uber sexy but I want to smash her face into a wall.

SlytherinDamian
08-30-2005, 09:36 PM
She looks horrible, lol. Even without those shoes and dress. You know what she needs? Some fucking KFC!

Greasy, fat, genetically engineered 'meat' is not the key to good health. She's better off being skinny than eating that trash, IMO (completely independant of what I find attractive).

IndoGhost
08-30-2005, 10:55 PM
by the laws of nature women are not ment to be skinny for they bare life...so i have no idea where mankind found skinny good. i like normal women...but to each his own

SlytherinDamian
08-31-2005, 01:38 AM
By the laws of nature, we wouldn't do anything any civilized human being does. Use soap, eat cooked food, use this new-fangled 'interweb'... why would we care what nature says on beauty? More importantly, that would actually be a matter of function, not beauty. Fat, arguably (I'm humouring you because I'm not in the mood to debate that point atm), may be very functional and healthy to an extent, but beauty is an entirely different thing. I don't care how fast your car is if it looks like a Herbie, and I don't care how 'healthy' a chick is if she looks fat. That being said, let me make it clear, I'm a very pragmatic person. Regardless of how specific my tastes or opinions of ideal beauty are, they have no practical bearing on who I'd date. I'm not sure if that was obvious or not, but me and my sister have had this fight about Mariah Carey (who I call fat), and she often thinks because I say that she is fat and imperfect (Mariah here, not my sister) that I'm saying she lacks any beauty and I wouldn't date a girl Mariah's size. This is not the case.

Lohan is fucking disgusting now, she looks like a corpse with skin streched over her bones, even worse is the heroin addict chick behind her.

The FHM pics are good, Shakira's hair and her huge nostrils are a turn off for me for some reason, whenever I see her whipping her hair around and breathing heavy with the flaired nostrils I am remind of some chick I saw in a anime movie once. Forget the name, but she does looks weird.

See Rebecca's pic is great, perfect example of basically what i meant. The pic doesn't look anorexic, nor unhealthy, good pic.

Also, looking more at the FHM pics, jesus christ that's the food chick!!!

She's got just the right thighs, not huge fat, but kinda meaty, her stomache is not fat, but not muscled like she's on 'riods

her face is kinda chubby, which I like it gives her that adorable look. And after seeing all the food the girl puts away on her shows... i kinda expected her to need a freaking girdle to look so small.

SlytherinDamian
08-31-2005, 10:09 PM
The FHM chick has a belly, I won't call her fat, but shes not skinny enough, IMO. LR is cute, but I don't think you can tell weight by face always, your cheeks can keep a lil fat when you have little to none elsewhere. Particularly a face that's like a hundred pixels high... personally (back to FHM chick), I don't like round faces. Babies have round faces. Babies =/= not sexy. Bonier/scrawny faces look smarter and more mature IMO, and I like smart looking, not prebubesant baby fat looking. Thats why I dont much care for most asian chicks, because 90% of the images you see of them are Japanese, and the Japanese are obsessed with making girls look like little kids.

Midknight

I'm with Midknight on Rebecca's pic, thats also what I look for (beautiful =))...and have thus far failed to find one who can put up with my eccentricities, occasional ranting, friendly banter, won't shun me for my interests, etc.. I also need someone intelligent, witty, good personality, good sense of humor...those traits have more priority over looks, though I do have my limits.

I totally agree with you guys. That is how a girl should look like. A lovely and caring face, really sweet and beautiful.

But it all depends on what kind of relationship you want. Personally I want something with depth and emotion. If you want something like that, than personality is as important as looks and if not more if it should work out in the long run.

And I feel for you Rawenclaw, I havenít found anyone myself. Might be because of my none existing social skills and that I can barely tolerate 5% of the people I meet. But who knows what the future will bring.

Bah!

Everyone between 13 and Dead has problems with their looks. Mainly because everyone has a differant definition of perfection.

I was watching Blind Date about a week ago... They had 2 old people (91 and 88 respectively) on the show. They might have looked terrible to me, but to each other they looked alright. Never go harshly on yourself about your appearance if it's something you can't control. Now something like dandruff is of course inexcusable... Or at least it is for someone like me... Who knows, there might be some freak out there who gets turned on by it.

Perception is Reality.

Lord Ravenclaw
09-01-2005, 08:58 PM
Good to hear =) (response to Rebecca's post)

To be honest most men have preconceived notions of what "beauty" is, which in their eyes is superficial looks...nothing more than ideological drivel. While physical beauty is nice, whats within is worth far more, but unfortunately this drives many women to paths such as a subconscious creation of a disorder such as anorexia.

I'd say 80% of us at this forum lack these notions, though instead possess a cynical personality, and a much less hoodwinked view of the world.

Fortunately for you, you appear possess both qualitys, don't worry about yourself, and if you feel down, take the view I took on my own life, which is to take an apathic mindset towards anyone or thing who doesn't like myself or whatever I do, be it dress, music, or my organizational skills. Though I do so enjoy falling into my Slytherin mindset and returning sarcastic, biting remarks which usually leave any but the most witty reeling for a response.

(Even if this is out of your particular chosen topic, I'll post it anyway, as it pertains to the 'title-topic' and I find that more important, lol.)

Hm? I go for the 'darker' look, pale skin, dark hair and eye makeup is always a plus. As I am bi-sexual, it goes either way. I don't really care if the guy/girl is slightly (and sometimes it just doesn't matter at all) overweight or underweight. I have too much of a open mind for that. I just *hate* blond hair.

Sad thing is, my personality scares people away! I agree with the people above, it usually doesn't matter if you are hot or not, the personality is a killer. Honestly? Can a girl of 17 predicted to be a mass-murderer in her highschool yearbook have any lasting boy/girl-friends? No, it just doesn't work that way.

Not quite true, I'm offended by stupid/over religious/fuckheads. I'd say that only covers most of the southern US, most middle eastern countries, and a good portion of Europe.

True, true.

(Now a random comment that is somehow related) I'm not the only one who can't stand the southern accent, am I?

Sad thing is, my personality scares people away! I agree with the people above, it usually doesn't matter if you are hot or not, the personality is a killer. Honestly? Can a girl of 17 predicted to be a mass-murderer in her highschool yearbook have any lasting boy/girl-friends? No, it just doesn't work that way.

My classmates frequently found me cackling evilly to myself while walking down hallways, though they didn't label me a murderer, just insane.

And Giovanni: very little offends me, though as Midknight said, over-religious halfwits who see nothing beyond "God", "sin", "Hell" and soforth piss me off. The rest of the imbiciles I simply look down on with distaste and sneer at, sometimes thinking about different ways I might end their lives.

Example: Walmart. The other day I was walking through Walmart, my black coat swishing a bit, and I could imagine myself pulling out my wand, commanding my death eaters to kill, and shooting off a host of Dark Arts and Killing Curses at people. Especially this little girl who had the audacity to bump into me and say "Move!". I could so imagine her back arching and breaking as I held her under a Cruciatus Curse, her voice screaming in agony, but thats for another time.

Lady Rebecca:

Sorry to offend. I'm sure there are people who can't stand my upstate NY accent either, I was just saying that it grated on my nerves and I probably wouldnt' date someone who talked like that. Shallow? Yeah. But can I change that? Not really.

Lord Ravenclaw:

I'm really not going to go into the details, but lets just say my pocket knife fell out of my pocket shortly after making a comment concering said knife. I was suspended, sure, but the look on their faces was worth it!

And yes, walmart pisses me off too. Just like Hannaford gives me the creeps. There is something *wrong* with that store.

Considering I'm currently in North Carolina I had to add the southern bit =)

Coming I'm originally from Ny, where everyone hates... everyone. Equally

To move to a state where some of the bastards still hang rebel flags in the open, and are very hostile to anyone or the darker persuasion, (black, mexican, or european/latin) In some parts out here it's insane. The state is slowly being forced into the new century, but the mindset of the people here will take 2 or 3 more generations to become tolerant.

(Considering I have a light tan naturally from the Puerto rican and Italian mix, when I started working outside I went DARK DARK to where I look cajun... good lord some of the assholes down here treate me like I'm the freaking antichrist,)

The southern accent I cannot stand when it's heavy. I can't stand extreme accents of anything really, other then a girl talking with Irish/Scottish... omfg that's just sweet =)

The british accent drives me insane. I dunno if it's the horrid acting in the movies or what, but I want to rip my ears off.

I'm accent-less actually, which I've been told is freaking weird. I'm similar to LR in the fact that I mimic the person I'm talking to, to an extent. If I consiously catch that i'm speaking with one I stop.

Oh dear lord no, if I said "A - booo - ut" I'd crack my skull open with a brick.

My unique accent is hard to explain. It's mostly a product of me learning how to speak on my own for the most part, my babysitters often didn't speak english, instead more Italian or Spanish.

I also moved a ton all over the place, so I never had a chance to be infulenced heavily by regional accents. What wound up happening is I can flawlessly duplicate most accents enough to pass off as "from here" My favorite at the moment is Australian, because it pisses my redneck boss off to the extreme.

Even though Iím Latin, Iíve been told that I have a more European accent when speaking English, however fain it is. Spanish is my first language, English my second and French my third, so the combination is all up the air, and I can pick an accent in a few days.

As for what I look for in a girl? Thatís easy; the eyes.

I was terribly spoiled and my dearest girlfriend and now best friend has the most stunning Green/Amber eyes I have ever seen. So Iíve found that Iím partial to girls with light colored eyes. Any hair color except red goes, and Iím also partial to lighter complexion.

Intelligence to go with a good personality is a must, and many times has overridden whatever other preconceptions Iíve had of my perfect girl. In any case, I usually go for strong willed, independent women that can give me a run for my money and keep me on my toes.

South Carolinian, eh? I loved visiting there, Palmetto bugs and all. Nashvillians aren't as sexy.

South Carolina is a great place to be, and contrary to popular belief the people are actually quite nice.

Palmetto bugs are scary.

I've been up to Nashville, but its like everyone up there is from somewhere else originally. Just weird.

Well, your capital *is* barely above sea level! I didn't think that the Palmetto bug weren't that bad. I loved being around the people ther too.
We're getting alot of Mexican people here now.

I just don't like bugs period. And those things get fairly big. They have a tendancy to fall onto you when you are walking under trees at night.

I do alot of walking/jogging through the woods on my families land, so I see them alot.

Damn annoying things.

We too are getting alot of mexican people moving into this area. I don't have a problem with them, or any immigrants, I just wish they could speak english.

I have a strange mix of an Upper Canadian(Ontario) accent and English(London) one. It changes depending where I am. When in Canada and Mexico, I sound Canadian. When in Europe, Britain and the US, I sound English(London)

Is there alot of trouble with immigrants and locals in America? We here alot about it in modern studies, adn its bad over here, with a lot of middle eastern immigrants getting blamed for everything by a minority of idiots, but i just wandered what it was like over your side of the pond

I like Canada, but not the cold. I liked London, but I froze half to death there. I also froze half to death here...was -22F this morning with windchill, -15 without (during the summer it gets into the 90's though =)).

I personally don't mind immigrants, as long as they're legal. I also know some Spanish (which is quickly becoming a major language here in the Southwest as more immigrants arrive) which helps a lot, but it is getting really bad. What I especially don't like is when immigrants come in and employers fire other workers and replace them because the immigrant workers will work for far less, and think they're making so much money. Perhaps to them, as they probably made far less in Mexico, but to us is probably 1/5 of a normal salary that someone would make in that profession. Illegal immigrants a lot of times work for even less, sometimes even below minimum wage.

I have no real major issue with Immigrants. I have, however, several minor, in-general ones.. :D

Minor Ones:

Lack of English, if you come to a country, learn the language damnit.

Bigotry/Racism, I have ths problem with mainly second generation immigrants who think they are the cream of the crop, these nasty buggers will take multiple beatings before shutting up.

Lack of taking advantage of high wages.

Bitching about racism when no one is being racist to you. [ This is mainly fellow students, who will cause a scene on what they think is an affront but wasn't ].

Oh yes, these too (not second gen., but ones who think they're better than everyone else). They strut around like they own the place and have little regard for others. Think slightly mellowed out Malfoy. A supremest. They also tend to be the ones who get a few of their fellows to help them beat you down, then call you weak for being unable to defend yourself against ten concurrent attacks. The ones I knew deflated their heads for the most part, but in other areas I still see these a lot. I swear, next time I'll bring a damn crowbar.

*nod* I didn't have to many problems with them during my younger school days, but I had to kick the shit out of one of them, guess what the prick did? I was playing basketball, and my friend[since kindergarten ] was sitting on the grass "cuddling" with his g/f, this prick purposely kicks a soccerball point-blank into his head, I saw red dude

Exactly the superior attitude I spoke of. I'm glad the ones around here deflated their heads.

But this brings up an interesting question. Was James Potter a second generation Mexican immigrant who thought he was in the US, but was actually in the British Isles, and didn't look Mexican?

British Isle pureblood. Made him superior to his wife even after they married. Mother fucker needed a lobotomy.

I like the cold. Not sure if I would like it cold enough to kill. In SC it gets hot enough to kill, but as for cold usually somewhere in the teens will be our coldest nights during winter.

My thing with immigrants is just that they can't speak english. Like was said, if you are going to move somewhere, learn the damn language.

Don't get me started on racism. Its so stupd all the way around. People cry about minorities not be equal, well I didn't get a full ride through college because of my race. WTF is up wth that? I had to pay.

My biggest gripe is people that were born here, families have been here for years, preach how they are "african american" or "chinese american". Dude you are not african, you are not chinese. You are a damn American and you need to learn to shut the fuck up!

I live in Nashville Tennessee and I must say we are being invaded by Mexicans. I'm not saying I'm racist...but... when a dude pops out of his car with his cock hanging out of his pants and stares at your sister suggestively you tend to not like people so much. I totally agree about the need for foreigners to learn english. My Grandmother had to learn it when she came over from Greece, so just because there are a lot of them why should they be treated any differently.

Ahh the old Luscious Lucius and his goofy pimp cane. I remember it most from the end of the second movie. It became a quick favorite of squicky slash because everyone loves a blond ponce dom they can sub to.

EDIT: Just realized my avatar kicked the pimp cane's ass at the end of that movie. Fear the dom!Dobby!

As for the topic and what I look for in a girl? I'd have to say boobs and a vagina are the most important. Beyond that... it varies. Sometimes blonde hair, sometimes intelligence, sometimes a pulse, sometimes merely an inability to fight back is enough to make my day. I'm not picky.

I ought to read that sometime... What site is it on?

What I look for in a guy? Simple; intelligence and someone who doesn't mind when I act insane.

Harry Potter & the Azkaban Parody (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2205019/1/)

That's her story. Right now though, she's going back and revising the whole thing. Eppy is scary. Very, very scary. I kind of dropped off about half way through the story though, haven't read it the whole way through.
