Expanding on the favorite song thread, what as the first album you ever bought? That first time you got your money and kicked it on down to the local music store, what did you get?

I bought two CDs to start my collection. Blue by Joni Mitchell and Al Green's Greatest Hits.

"The Crucifucks" and "Hybrid Theory" would be the first two I ever actually purchased.

The Wall by Pink Floyd or Nevermind by Nirvana I don't remember but both are good.

The Best of 1980-1990 by U2 was the first album that I ever bought. Their earlier stuff was awesome but everything since then has just been...meh.

I had never actually bought an album untill a few months ago. Until then i either downloaded or stole my brother's CDs. Anyway, the one i bought was The Eagle's Greatest Hits, and currently i'm keeping my eye out for the live album, Hell Freezes Over. I've only heard the live Hotel California from that album but it would have to be one of my favourites, so i figured i just buy the whole thing.

I actually first got a bunch together:

Blind Guardian - Imaginations From the Other Side
Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle Earth
Rhapsody - Symphony of the Enchanted Lands
...A Metallica album, not sure what it was called...
Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes

I never cared for music so much before that and ended up getting them together in the end.

Nirvana - In Utero, then later that day, Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies.

In Utero isn't my favorite album, I like Nevermind better, but I can never get sick of Jar of Flies. One of my favorite CD's ever. Had it for 9 years and still love it. :D

I own less then 20 CDs and only bought 5 of them for myself in this order i believe(first to last).

    Metallica-The Black Album

    Metallica-And Justice for All...

Burning Brides-Fall of the Plastic Empire

Led Zeppelin- How the West Was Won

Pixies- The Best of PIXIES wave of mutilation

I don't really like spending money on music, or downloading it, so when I want to listen I turn on the radio.
