Just a sudden craven I have had for the last few days.

Just read a few chapters of the Prelude. Its good, but... bitty Harry?

Now I feel like working on a HP/Matrix Xover, post-ootp.

I have a few ideas in my mind... like Luna being a program and the Veil actually being a way out of the Matrix.

Going to start plotting it tomorrow after work.

 

That's actually a pretty good idea. But you gotta make sure you have a plot too, other than just integrating HP and The Matrix.

I had a few ideas pop into my head today as I was flipping burgers.

Luna I plan on having an active role into Harry being unplugged from the Matrix as she will be a program.

And I intend to keep Sirius. Hate it when he comes back. But perhaps there will be a little closure for Harry outside of the Matrix in terms of Sirius's death.

 

Why not rewrite the end of OotP? Have Harry do like a super speed thing where he saves him. This could wake him slightly that the world isn't real.

 

You know, I had not thought of that. I had invisioned Harry waking to the realities of the Matrix because of the Veil itself, the Veil being an exit program out of the Matrix, though one that is rarely not lethal.

I do not and will not have Sirius alive in this story. I have already decided how the Sirius subplot is going to work out.

But with rewriting the end of OotP, an idea does spring to mind. This will deal with the code carried within the One that allows him to manipulate the Matrix. The Veil is a program, and I am thinking that I will have Harry be able to see Code for the briefest of seconds. Don't jump on me about that. I have a plan for the Prophecy of the One, and it involves dividing the code that is suppose to be diseminated into the Matrix.

I have a shit load of ideas right now!!! I do have a working title for the story, as well as the plot for the first in a series of stories.

The main title for the series will be Standard Manipulation, and the title for the first story is going to be called Standard manipulation: Third Floor, Room 010011.

 

I have a question about how Sirius will survive waking up with undeveloped muscles and get dumped into some drain without a ship to drag him out of it?

Its what happen to Neo, right? (It's been a few years since I saw the movie so my memory might be a little off)

 

Already thought of that and it has been factored into my charts.

Because of the muscle atrophy and of where he is dumped, he cannot save himself so he simply drowns and is left to float. I won't say what happens after that because its part of the story. But Sirius will stay dead and not come back in any sort of fashion except in memories and perhaps a few writting documents.

Right now I have come up with two titles for the first two in the series.

The first one is going to be a prelude, and taking the advice of Sire Raven, it will be a slight rewrite of the Department of Mysteries battle, though the scene will be very short. Perhaps less then a 1000 words. But it will set the premise for the rest of the series.

Hoping to have it out in at least two weeks. Its going to be titled... Prelude to Manipulation: Visions of a Program... and if anyone is interested in betaing or throwing around ideas for awhile, just hit me up.

A BETA would be nice though.

 

I have just wrote out five pages for Prelude to Manipulation: Visions of a Program. Over 2000 words so far. With some luck, I hope to have it posted on FFnet and on the Review board here before the end of the week.

 

Is your story going to be before, during, or after the Matrix movies?

 

Standard Manipulation is going to take place in the past, present and future of Harry Potter/Matrix. Most of the stories will be centered during the time periods of the Matrix movies, if not the precise years. OoTP takes place 95/96 while The Matrix begins 1998 and ends roughly 1999.

Its been taking me awhile to get anything posted for Prelude To Manipulation.
Work and school has been getting in the way over here. Though now I finally have the entire first story, Standard Manipulation: The Free-Will Solution outlined. That was hard work, but it will be worth it indeed.
