Title: Harry Potter and the Curse of the Prophecy
    Author: quizgirl
    Rating: M
Pairing: Looks like H/Hr for now

    Genre: Drama/Angst

Summary: After hearing the Prophecy, Voldemort is convinced that as long as he and Harry both live no one can harm them. And what is better than to have Harry on his side, as his Heir? As it turns out, Harry may not have much choice in the matter...

    Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2000225/1/

Review: Much better than it sounds, the story has Harry progressively becoming darker and being under heavy suspicion while he's at it.

This is not one of those "I'm going to dabble in the Dark Arts, tee-Hee!" stories.

Harry is mostly unwilling in the process, the but dark magic is corrupting it.

Well written, the H/Hr is extremely well done and not repulsive at the slightest, although it has its moments.

NOTE: Best if you read far before you make decisions as the story gets much better later on.

I'll post my review after I've read all the current chapters.

EDIT: An interesting story, but like many others, Harry rejoins the light side. Pathetic coward. Would be 5/5 if he stayed with the dark, but since he defects, it's 4/5.

I've read now the 5th chapter, and I must say I like it.
It has a little reactivated my interest in Fanfictions.

And you say it gets better? than i'll definitely read more.

    Just read the first chapter.

Those new random characters kind of threw me off there for a second and the lack of a backstory hurt it.

The writting could have been better, but I hope to see improvement with the progression of the story, as there usually is.

For now, I reserve judgement. Lets see what happens five chapters in.

I like it. Well written and an interesting plot. Harry's characterization is good. The only downside for me is, Harry joining the Death Eaters even if he doesn't want it. 4/5 stars.

Great story even if it doesn't make sense that the Dursley family let Harrt have any friend over. Plots good, writings good, and the Author seems to know where she is going with the story. And best of all she has said she isn't going to abandon it.

However in saying that somethings could be explained better but I am just trying to find a bad point in what is an excellent story. I hate not giving some Constructive criticism.

    4/5

Oh and on a further note, has anyone though of making a list of all the completed fics on the site. It just seems silly having to crawl through abandoned and Hiatus fics to find completed gems.

Before someone says it... there is nothing wrong it necroing in the library as long as you add something substantial to the thread, which has been done here.

As for the story, i'll go read it now and edit my review in.

How the hell did this get in?
CAPSLOCK anger everywhere, Harry's a whiny little bitch, Ron is continually doing the overblown, cliched jealousy bit (almost literally once a chapter) over the Hermione/Harry romance, the whole thing is one giant clusterfuck of fail.

A couple gems here, both from ch 16:
Fuck this shit. Fuck this shit with a lit road flare.

LOL Ooh BURN! Kray's right though, this was posted way back when standards were probably more lax. Still, it's a pretty painful bit of reading.

@Ellisande: ...why didn't you just wait till you had, infact, read the story? Posting to notify people that you're in the process of reviewing doesn't really contribute anything.

I was deterring the usual customary useless "OMG U NECRO!!!!" post. Thats why.

As for the story itself, its painful yes, but tolerable, barely. Im only about 8 chapters through however, dunno if it will get better or worse.

Edit: Finished it. Liked it. It wasn't incredible, but it wasn't intolerable. A bit too much angst, but I could easily skip the few paragraphs that contained it.

The author doesn't turn Harry into some emotional pussyfest, which is surprisingly nice. Has no real qualm with killing people either, torturing someone to death with the cruciatus...not bad.

I'll be putting this on story alert.

    3.5-4/5.

Almost say library material, almost not. Definite trashbin atm however.

Nice little find. 3.5/5 from me. The storyline was acceptable, but after awhile the grammar errors and immature plot-line started to piss me off.

I have now finished the story and my rating will drop a bit. This is mostly due to a few things:

    a) Grammar problems.

    b) A slight obsession with caps lock, although that vanishes latter on.

However I still don't think the plot is that bad, all things considered, but then again I have not be reviewing on DLP for that long and thus not have a godd idea for standards yet.

The fact that she promises to finish the fic helps but its now more of a 3.5/5. Better then trash but not by much.
