I have just finished reading the final installment to Trudi Canavan's second trilogy, The Age of the Five.

I can strongly recommend them to anyone seeking a fanstasy adventure, and to anyone who enjoyed her Black Magician trilogy. Of the two, I would say AotF is better.

The story follows Auraya from first becoming a Priestess of the White, one of a collection of 5 priests and priestesses who rule Northern Ithania under the guidance from the five gods, and twists and turns right to the end.

Canavan does her usual thing of concentrating on several characters at a time and brings them together well at the end.

    Definatly recommended

I liked the first series so I will definitely try to get a copy of the book. I emailed a review to her about the first series and she answered after a half a year. Quite nice.

Edit: Went to the book store on the way home and bought the two first book in the trilogy.

Sounds interesting. I read the Black Magician trilogy a while back, so I might try and borrow this one from the library, to see what it's like.

I just finished the Black Magician triology and enjoyed it very much.

Probably I buy this new triology in the second it's translated in German.
