meh.. what are you talking bout mid... Ruskbyte's Order of the Phoenix was much better then that losers worthless junk...

but yeah... genreally i do enjoy these... though i prefer the more serious stories i do like them...

 

I actually didn't like humor fics until I read his work, then the great Eppy the house elf themed azkaban fic.

 

Actually, fics from the "Where in the world" triology are probably the best humoristic stories in HP fandom. I guess no one had posted them here before coz... hey, they are like classics. Everyone likes them and feels like there's nothing more to say there.

I'm still not sure how good is You did what! compared to the two prequels. I'll have to read complete story when it's finished and then compare it with the others. But for now, it seems great.

As for Eppy, she was funny for like two chapters and then it all got too repeating. You can only pull the same joke so many times before it becomes boooring.

 

Yeah, that story was the most crazy piece of fanfic that I read.

Actually, I prefer "Where in the world..." triology. Lovegood had some pretty lame parts and boring plot, once it was past the initial challenge. Not a bad fic, but nowhere near his other masterpieces.

 

I like it because no one really works with Luna, and it was funny as hell just the akwardness of it all.

 

People want more Lovegood, Boobs Gooder? Erm, when I turned the LOTR elves into smurfs, I think I descended just a little too far into ridiculousness.

And a sequel would need romance, which I have sworn off ever writing again. Romance is evil, it corrupts the soul, and it's ruined fanfiction. And the next step in that storyline would probably be a lot of kinky smut and horribly confused Weasleys. Hermione might start looking up some of the things Luna and Harry talk about and well... those books might not even be in the restricted section. Too much hassle. That and romance is truly evil.

My general philosophy can be summed up with this simple mathematical equation:

HATE + PAIN = LOVE or if you prefer LOVE - PAIN = HATE

Luna should have a few decent appearances in You Did What?! though. She'll be Lily's favorite of Harry's girls.

And for what it's worth, I never meant to start writing humor fics. I just had an idea I wanted to do, and later realized it's much easier to laugh at then for me to go for serious drama/action/angst. I still prefer reading general/action/adventure to humor stories. Humor's easy because if it's good, I laugh. All the other genres don't have such a quantifiable measure for me to tell if I'll still like the story or idea later.

 

I laughed quite a bit for the other fics, and I like them alot, but Lovegood was the only one to bring tears into my eyes laughing so hard, lol.

The smurfs were just priceless.

 

And Gay!Legolas that was classic! xD

 

Well, I must digress with you here. I insincerely think that it sucks and have deemed that my life will still go on if I decide to not read the next chapter. :mrgreen:

 

It was quite hilarious I admit. This was one of the rare jewels in fanfiction today. It's fics like these that stop me from giving up reading fanficton entirely. *sigh* I just wish I could write like this....

Anyway, thanks nonjon for another splendid fic.

 

I liked the other two better, this one seems a bit forced.
