Another gory story from cloneserpents. While not as good as the other two from the Scream universe, it still has the same atmosphere and feel as the other two. Give it a read.

  2. Unabashed self plug approaching:

Since Ficwad is acting extra slow as of late (it took me over 45 seconds to load the link), I also have the piece posted on FFN: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3662838/1/Reunion

Meh... I liked the smiling man one, despite my aversion to Harmoine.

I'm not gonna read this one since I read the Scream one and it wasnt really my thing. Not bad, just not for me. It is worth a shot though if you are into that.

It was... okay. If it was the start of another story, about Harry and Hermione running away it would be good. Instead it's just Screams universe without any real torture. I thought it was good, but subpar for cloneserpents.

Not as good as the first two. I disliked Harry having an internal monologue. He came off as far too reasonable for my tastes. For this I would have told the first part from the perspective of the two Aurors, then switched to McGonagall for the rest. You could have had her trying to reason with Hermione while Harry's rampaging through the school, then hiding her away and confronting the Boy-Who-Smiles.

Harry's type of insanity is far better told from the outside than from within. Learning about him through his actions is more fun than reading what he thinks. Placing your audience inside the minds of the people he's torturing, rather than him, is also much scarier.

I also disliked the idea that Hermione gains strength from screams. Before, it was more along the lines of her simply taking comfort and delight from them, rather than needing them to survive.

3/5 It would be higher for a different author, but you've already shown that you're capable of better, so I'm holding you to a different standard.

I like this story. Although I think the 2nd story is the best one in its series. I give this story a 4/5. I can't wait to read the next story.

I read all three stories in one go. Pretty good for what they are (which is dreary depressing loosely tied one-shots).

The first one was the best because of the twist and introduction of the base idea. The second one was fine, but the ending seemed like a needless Ginny bashing. I agree that writing from Harry's POV hadn't worked very well in this third part. Also, Harry was strangely underpowered, considering he had supposedly single-handedly taken out all death eaters + Voldemort. On the other hand, some actual action redeemed the story a bit.

Overall, very decent read, although not the type of 'dark!Harry' I'd normally prefer.

Fairly decent job, but I have to agree that it wasn't quite as well done as the previous two. Granted, after the first one it is pretty hard to top off previous work, but still...

Minerva seemed too flat imho, too stuck on getting them "help", and although I did like Harry's thought process, it seemed -almost detached- somehow. Not a work of art like Screams, but still good writing.

    4/5
