    why a disarming charm?? he hade already used the other 2 big spells so why couldnt he use the killing curse? and while we are on topic...why the hell did the ovegrown snake die from the damn disarmer??

    1. Harry used the Disarming charm because it was the first spell that came to mind. For Harry, it usually is, being his signature move and all.

    2. Voldemort didn't die from Harry's Expelliarmus, he died from his own Avada Kedavra, reflected back at himself.

    Voldemort died from the AK which was reflected (again :rolleyes: ) is what TDH says. Though it can be argued that an Expelliarmus is not meant to reflect curses, merely disarm the opponent. If AK was unable to kill Harry (ok....) because he was the master of the wand that cast it, then it should have just stopped or deviated to hit another person. Coming straight back was a bit much.

    But then JKR has fucked up worse than that.
