Personally I think the art looks fantastic. I can't wait to start seeing issues at my local comics store.

 

Something tells me that this is going to end up being as shitty as the TV series. -_-

The art is... poor at best. Murphy looks like a man, and so does Bianca, really. Her bat form looks more like an Underworld movie Werewolf.

I knew this would suck because I'd seen the art work for Anita Blake by the same company.

What the hell is Butcher thinking?

These aren't even B-class artists. I will not be getting these.

I am sure there is better fanart out there.

 

The guys look kinda okay, but why the hell does this guy not know how to draw women?

 

Keep in mind that this is supposed to be concept art so it is not finalized character studies. After my initial excitment of actually seeing some artwork wore off I have to agree that the female concepts are totally off point. I like the way that the men are drawn though. I think Harry and Gentleman Johnny Marcone look spot on. Morgan reminds me of a bizzaro version of Michael that I usually see in my minds eye, but he stll looks good. I hope that Butcher really has the final say as much as he claimed because I know he really responds to what his fans think and if they want character design changes he just me take a second look.

 

Here is an update of some more artwork for the comic. Also it has been announced that Butcher will pen a four part mini-series in April of 2008 to kick of the comic's run

Once more I am less than impressed. A new story would be awesome, but as its probably going to be Expanded Universe material, rather than canon material, it is wholly unimportant.
