I got a new monitor this morning (after trial after tribulation after annoyance, of course), and got home, plugged it in, and found a nice red pixel stuck in the middle of my screen. I tried to replace it, but the store was sold-out.

Anyone have any suggestions for how to get rid of it?

Yes, buy a new monitor. One of my own monitor's has a stuck pixel too. Either you can ignore it, which is usually easy to do, unless you actively look for it. I for the most part ignore the one my monitor has.

...Nevermind. I decided to try the tapping method again. It didn't work that well the first time, but this time I completely eliminated it. Stuck Pixel is stuck no longer.

...And I already tried to replace it, as mentioned in the previous post.
