Okay, gonna stop hi-jacking Aekiels thread now XD

Basically, CN is a game where you build your own country - manage the government, national religion, it's trade affairs, build infrastructure and research technology.

If you only had 15 minutes a day to play, you could pull it off easily, but more often then not it sucks you in and you end up going on it as often as DLP (<_<: :>_>). It's pretty addicting for an otherwise simple game.

I started a clan for DLP called the Global Order of Darkness - you can sign up here (http://god.demonsdesire.org/index.php?showtopic=13). It's been going for a year and we're kicking some ass - people with twice our member count can't match our collective strength. :D

The more infra you have the more pop you get and ,subsequently, more money.

Additional money will be provided by tech deals and alliance aid.

Don't collect taxes until you fix up your trades.

And last, but not least, get on IRC, any questions you might have would be answered there. And don't forget to register/apply on our forums and switch your alliance affiliation to "Global Order of Darkness"

You'll get overloaded with invites mainly because everyone is looking for members these days and no one knows how to recruit - so they resort to spam bullshit.

I'm a member of GOD, not that I really get a chance to do much to help out. I'm actually wondering about the size of my army. Should I build it up as much as possible or should I continue working on infra and such? I'm at 278 tech and 1200 infra, but I keep my military down at around 4000 and I've never gotten into any sort of war before.

Oh, and just a question, what does this number in parenthesis mean in relation to my soldier count? 3,884 (5,360) Soldiers. Is the left one my number of soldiers and, if so, why the bloody hell is my right at 5360?

It's your effective soldier count, Kolsk. They used to only have one value, but now they give you the value without modifiers and the effective in parenthesis.

The number in parenths is your efficiency rating (http://www.cybernations.net/about_topics.asp#Military), the actual number of soldiers is on the left. ;)

Don't collect at least for 5 days, the economic effects of anarchy will last that long, and I'll have his alliance pay what they owe you for what you lost.

You don't really get hooked though, until you participate in an alliance wide war though. Watching the numbers change drastically by the hour is addicting.

You'll know what I mean if you stick around long enough for whenever a war strikes.

Decom your Barracks, buy a Harbor. Then buy Factories.

Also, work on your trades more.

Edit: Also, keep buying infra, of course.

Trading sucks ass no matter what sphere you're in. Every team has the same percentage of complete fuckwits who can't grasp simple concepts like "I give you money, you click 'accept'" and "DROPPING MY CATTLE/FISH FOR GOLD/LEAD JUST BECAUSE IT GIVES YOU MORE PRETTY ICONS IS NOT A REAL STRATEGY RAAAAAAGE"
