I hadn't even heard of this film until today, but it looks pretty cool.

    Trailer: Hancock

Basic premise: Man called Hancock (Will Smith) is a superhero who sucks at being a superhero.

This looks like a funny movie, but I'm wondering what the plot will be about. Will it be something like a super-villain come to town and threaten something he holds dear (possibly his favorite bar or something). Because just trying to look like a better superhero seems like a bland plot.

I have to see that now :p. Just throwing the whale at a boat is amazingly hilarious :D. He's the kind of superhero you can really understand; the kind who just can't be arsed to do any superheroing. It looks brilliant.

Another movie added to the 'must-see' list. Damn, that whale throw was brilliant.

"I don't even remember that." "Greenpeace does..."

    Genius :p

I don't usually like Will Smith movies, but I might just see this.

Haven't seen a promising sucky-hero movie since Bluntman and Chronic; will definitely see this one.

Random: Someone should write a Ginny kill-off - involving a thrown whale - ftw!

I just saw this today morning as well. Funny as hell. Damn, hate to be that whale though. Thrown around like a rag doll and then get crashed into a boat?! But the movie is gonna be sick.

Went and saw it today. It wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be, but I still enjoyed it.

The wife took me by surprise. I knew there was something going on there - there were too many 'looks' going on for there not to be - but I certainly didn't predict that she'd be another hero.

Started out well and crashed in the latter half.

I want my two hours back.

I agree totally with Boofers on this. Cool idea, having Will Smith be a flying hobo that everyone hates. Then the plot twists got in the way.

Would've been better if the "plot" was just him turning around and not being such a douchebag bum or something, maybe. Just seemed contrived at the end. Enjoyable first half, though.

In that thing you call a closet. Better watch out,
Sucked hard. I got so bored by the end. Wanted is a good movie. So is Wall -E.

Not as good as the trailers promised, though it could have been epic. I'll assume that a lot of annoying shit altered the script (which is 12 years old!), and caused the burnout that was the 2nd half of the movie.

I was really disappointed. They cut out so much to bring down the rating. Hopefully the Director's Cut will be better.

I liked it, but I agree that the second half wasn't as good as the first. Didn't see the twist with the wife coming at all though, which was pleasantly surprising. Normally you can tell exactly what's going to happen from the first ten minutes.

I havent seen it yet. I just know that in typical Fresh Prince fashion it made like 170 million from Wednesday through Sunday.
