Evantide walks into the kitchen, where the distinct bright colour of Miss. Scarlett's dress has just been seen.

He peers into the gloom, not spotting any trace of the ruby fabric. As he tries to search more comprehensively, he trips slightly on an upraised flagstone. He runs his hands over the edges, trying to find the button or handle he knows must exist.

As a small indent is found, he pushes it, watching in satisfaction as the tile recedes, leaving a deep black square. He looks down it, catching a glimpse of stone walls leading in a north-westerly direction. To the study, then. He lowers his body into the hole, starting at a sudden noise.

"Colonel? What are you doing here?"

He catches sight of the jolly man, looking quite bemused in his nightgown and slippers.

"What's that on your robe? Is that blood?"

The man appears startled. The last thing Evantide sees before the darkness crashes in, is a glint of light, reflecting off the brass side of a candlestick held by Colonel Mustard.

I was playing Cluedo, the Simpsons edition, yesterday while babysitting, and this just seemed too perfect.
