    Havn't seen this done and thought it might be an interesting read. Anyone know of any Dark!Dumbledore fics?

    Know of well written ones? Not really.

    Many fall into Cliches, others have crappy writers, and still others are just bad stories.

    Sunset over Britain is at least non-cliche (though EXTREMELY long winded) and can be found on Fanficauthors.net in bobmin356's page.

    Marietsy has evil Dumbles in hers, I believe it's Flames of Azkaban, where Ron and Harry run off from him and Dumble's has had Sirius imprisoned.

    Seen a few others, but they're usually not overly readable. They either go too far away from believeable(Sunset), or they make him evil only half the time.

    No offense to Marietsy your a great author and everything, but Flames of Betrayal has gone so far downhill since around Chapter 14 or so its not even funny.

    I like the other one better. With Harry and Snape... and I guess Dumble's now. He got redeemed. It wasnt bad.

    I can't see dumbledore evil...able to use dark arts ok...manipulative yes...but not evil.

    Yes but its just one of those things. Ya know, like making Harry suddenly grow balls and kick everyones ass... not likely to happen but we like it. I like Dumble's on the side of good but not totally goody-goody. More of a Grey-Dumble's that manipulates everyone around him.... even the ones he doesnt manipulate people are okay if he isnt all 'Light Magic is the only way!'.

    Yeh i gotta agree, no matter how god an author you are there's no right way to go about justifying Dumbles use of the Dark arts, it's just not feasable. (sp?)

    I can't see Dumbles using dark arts, but I can see him killing. It sorta annoys me when Dumbles is always bitching over Harry killing.

    I can see him using it. Maybe not the heavy duty stuff like the killing curse, cruciatus and the imperious but minor things I can see him using. When the time calls for such spells of course.
