Love it how the author completely reinforces what we like here.

He tries to be sarcastic and smart about Gabrielle and Fem!Blaise, but then uses the same mechanics to ridicule our desire for good grammar and our distaste for cliché works.

He rants about how Harry hasn't spoken to Blaise in 5 years so that means they should be soul mates. I dont know anyone here who likes the idea of soul mates and the reason I like different ships to Ginny is because authors can develop canon characters in their own way, making them interesting and useful, as opposed to relying on the Weasley clan to be the fulcrum of every incident that happens in a fic.

What a mong.

Lol, possibly the best flame I've ever read.

It would have been better had it been a bit more accurate (Ronalda? Gerry? Wtf?) and if the author had made the tone of the "story" a bit less bitter, but nonetheless an effective flame that will no doubt get a lot of people riled up, in which case the inaccuracies will probably aid in its task, rather than hinder it.

The ending was a bit poor though. For someone who apparently dislikes name-calling, there's certainly a lot of it in the last couple of paragraphs.

Hint: don't try to argue with the author. A guy who tries to rationally explain why a joke is incorrect only makes a fool of himself.

I don't know who the author is, but it's pretty clearly a bitter Harmonian (really, is there any other kind?) that's been flamed here.

Consider the profile:

Harry's assumption of the building being a daycare was proved correct when he entered the front room. Dozens of little children, mostly small boys, scurried about, screaming and shouting. In one corner, a play castle stood and on top of one of the towers, which was only four feet high, sat a little boy who was watching over the other children as if he was their king. In another corner, two little boys were roughly tugging on the pigtails of one of the few girls. This girl cried and wailed as the snickering boys continued to pull on her hair.

"Leave me alone, you meanies!" the girl finally shouted and pushed at the boys.

Clearly shocked by the girl's action, the little boys recoiled and with their eyes wide in terror, dashed to the play castle. There the boys bowed in front of the boy sitting on the miniature tower and spoke:

"Pro-Tom, that little girl yelled at us!" the first boy told his leader.

"Yeah, she called us a name," the other added with tears in his eyes.

"All we were doing was picking on her, which we do all the time," the first continued.

"Then she told us to stop," the second said. "She can't tell us to stop!"

"Yeah, it's our right to pick on her!"

The boy on the tower drew himself up and, looking down at the two boys, said to them, "You are right, Physician and Lord Fingus, we must deal with her."

"Pro-Tom, Physician and Lord Fingus?" asked Harry of his snarky yet caring lover.

"Yes, they all have given themselves nicknames," Woman!Blaise explained. "Pro-Tom is the leader of the group, but sometimes he loses control and the kids get a little wild."

Pro-Tom raised his hands high into the air and loudly proclaimed: "FLAME WAR!"

Every boy in the room bolted into the play castle. Their stuck their tiny heads out of the castle's window and began hurling insults at the girl that Physician and Lord Magus had been abusing.

"YOU STUPID IDIOT!"

"YOU FAIL AT LIFE!"

"AUTOMATIC FAILURE, I SAY!"

"I FIND YOUR WORK LITTERED WITH POOR GRAMMAR AND CLICHES!"

Before Harry could inquire as to what this last statement had meant, the little boys' insults started to take a rather dark turn.

"YOU WHORE!"

"CUNT!"

"YOU SHOULD BE ANALLY RAPED!"

Points sort of strongly at a couple of people, don't you think?

Oh, and if the author was going for accuracy they would have said "TITS OR GTFO!" instead of "WHORE" and "CUNT", which I don't think I've ever seen anybody actually use.

But I like the reviews. The story becomes the avenger of the poor, the slighted and the oppressed. Or at least those that get a kick out of considering themselves so.

ChemicalGenocide ist there, and I can't help it, even her review reads to me as a parody. And then there is this guy that wanted to save Fanfiction all on his own with his challenge here a while back, because everything else but his idea had already been written -- if you tought his ego was big then, here's the next step:

The reviews are full of lulz, that's for damned sure. Terdwilicker was most emphatic that we're all fifteen and will never reproduce. Too bad none of them seem to realize that we're too busy laughing at them to give a damn about their opinions..........

I think a couple of people told ChemicalGenocide to harden the fuck up and based on her review, which calls us cruel and malicious, she apparently doesn't have the brain-cells to take advice and improve.
