Very interesting take on metamorphs. Too bad it's so damned short and probably won't have any kind of continuation. 4/5 even though it's not really long enough to rate.

 

Enjoyable, interesting Idea. I like the no-true-face bit. Thats always been kinda irksome. Too short though. 4-ish out of five.

 

I liked this idea a lot especially considering almost every other fic that I've seen involving Tonks "true appearance" made her look either a younger Narcissa or Bellatrix before Azkaban 4/5 because it's so short

 

Meh. Well written, but nothing really stood out at all to me. The absence of fail is not necessarily win.

I like the idea, I do. I like anything that makes wonder and think. Especially when that’s about writing or about the world I’m writing in. This is quite cool and I can see quite a few stories up lifted if they’d incorporated it. ​

The idea of a personality as something beyond a face is already there, but to have a personality with changing faces is still a little difficult to comprehend fully. It’s a very interesting way of opening up Tonk’s ability, though. ​

3.6/5 The idea isn’t fully formed just yet, or at least it has that feel to it. It seems unfinished to me, as though the deeper aspects of it aren’t quite there. But I am looking forward to seeing someone incorporate this into a story.

I don't know if many people thought of that before, but that idea to me is old lol... thinking back on it I'm actually surprised of never seeing it before.

And I'm talking about a metamorph that doesn't have his own face.

That may be because I'm a little fixated about tonks..
(dunno if 'fixated' works in this context.. my english is not good)

 

Hmm....I just read something similar in "Unknown Memories". In chapter 12, I think, Tonks says that every face she wears is real to her, and if she never shifts again, that will be what she looks like, it's not like self-transfiguration or such. Or something along those lines.

But that was nice all the same. 3/5. I'd give it more, but it really was too short.

 

Nice little one-shot. The idea and excecution were decent. There was nothing really groundbreaking here, but nothing particularly bad either. 3/5

The first several paragraphs felt like an essay, but the dialogue changed that. It definitely felt more like an idea than a oneshot, so good call Cathal. 3

Agreed. This is more interesting as an idea than a story. The characterizations are fine, but nothing happens.
