    General Discussion is for, as the forum summary states:

    Discussion of HP related topics, canon books and movies.

    It is not for:


    • Real life topics. We have Real Life Discussion for this.
    • Random news articles/RL related requests/support/random other shit that I seem to be clearing out of here a lot. It is not a 'common room'. It has a specific purpose, adhere to it.
    As for discussing fanfic or elements of fanfic, it's kind of 50/50. This forum or Fanfic Discussion would fly. They overlap since this one has a broader purpose, so it's really down to thread starters choice.

    Remember: Make my life hard and I'll make yours harder :)
