Doubtful. A couple of my stories are in there and I've never heard of it before.

I just glanced at it and I see nonjon and Kurinoone. It gives credit to the authors but probably didn't ask them first...but what can you do?

Yes ... probably because that is what he did ~_~ What you "found" is a generated index of files on a server. I sincerely doubt this is anything but the guy's private story collection. In fact, I'm wondering how you stumbled over it in the first place -- I didn't find it linked from the main page.

I mean, I'm all for bitchslapping thieves, but this isn't even worth getting excited over. I have an index like this on my HDD too.

Jesus Christ. Even my fic is there.

I don't mind much, except that I'm in the middle of rewriting bits and pieces, so that the version there is likely the old, overly long one.

Seems similar to Vash's website style. Probably is what Sesc said.

I'm not sure if I should be offended by my omission.

You definitely should, because my story is in there.

I found one of the archived stories though Google and went to the root directory by chopping the url.

I don't think it's just a private story collection, though; the guy says "-----Help to keep the server running by purchasing Onj's album here" and "----Subscribe to the HP fanfiction mailing list".

Contemplating Clouds is there and I didn't authorise shit. If I had to guess, I'd say he's trying to tap into fanfiction to drum up publicity for his album. Which is fucked up.

I really don't care, as long as he doesn't pretend he's the author or if he's making money off our works.

I've seen several fics, most stories written by authors from or associated with DLP, uploaded into wattpad.

There's even a Russian fan ficiton site that has our stories translated and archived there, along with threads to discuss them.

I think it'd bd fine, were it not for the request for funds and link to his cd...

...that being said, he's not exactly hiding, is he? His contact info is on his artist page; not hard to just email him and ask for your stuff to get pulled, if it's truly that bothersome.

I was all set to go rage at my omission, but it turns out this guy has a couple of my shittier fics in his list.

Also, he must have been archiving this stuff for a while because I pulled one of the stories completely off the internet back in 2008. Before I saw this guy's list, I was pretty sure that the story didn't exist anywhere, especially since I deleted my copy of the story files.

Lawl. He has some most popular stories on his list, as i.e. Cassandra Claire's Draco trilogy, which was deleted on ff.net because of plagiarism in 2001 (which apparently was one reason for Heidy Tandy and others to start FictionAlley).

Lol. It really looks like the private archive of a random reader with partially really bad taste. Does anyone remember the name Carol Whim aka wimwyncken?

None of those are a reason to be ashamed of having your work show up there, however...

Well, the black mark on this archive for me (at least the one that immediately jumped out at me) was the presence of When a Lioness Fights.

Starring Whoremione as a spy for the light.

'Cause, you know, Voldemort would totally buy that Harry Potter's biggest supporter and known mudblood, Hermione Granger, suddenly wanted to be a death eater.

And he'd let her join despite being a mudblood.

And then she gets all kinds of valuable info for The Order by... um... sucking cock for great justice?

The whole plot, if you can stomach calling it that, is a gossamer-thin excuse for the author to have Hermione fuck all the bad guys that the fangirls cream their jeans over, but with an excuse that supposedly lets Hermione retain her principles.

While those who haven't lost their minds see the fic for the masturbatory exercise that it is and acknowledge that this Hermione is just another gutter dwelling 'hoor' (as McGonagall would no doubt say).

If authors don't want to be in his archive, lets get a list going and I'll submit a request for you all to him to remove your stories. We can pull a DMCA dickmove if necessary.
