How did you come across DLP? - Page 11

I've got 3 partial vampire!Harry fics written and I have references to DLP in my profile, so I guess it's possible that I might be partially responsible.

Forever Knight, which is in the Restricted Section, was reasonably liked here. But that was mostly Hermione as a Vampire.

I found DLP through someone's (I don't remember whose) profile. I visited a few times over a couple months before I posted my story and was invited shortly thereafter by Lord Ravenclaw and Myst. Been here since.

I think I first learned about DLP from Shezza's Profile. I ignored it then, but an increasing amount of good stories I read began mentioning the name, so curiosity got the better of me one day.

I haven't been the same since I joined.

I was around 12-13 and had just discovered the joys of fanfiction through watpad, and I stumbled across Shezza's denarian series. 9 hours and one sleepless night later I was here and I've never been the same. To be fair though, I'm not sure if this was how I got here or the aftermath of one of the times I rediscovered the Denarian Apocalypse and went on a shezza binge in depression. Either way the result is the same, and I've been here since. I joined about two and a half years later.

I also found this place via mentions in Methods of Rationality. As much as DLPers loathe the author, it was the first fic I'd ever read that clued me in to the existence of fanfiction that wasn't bad porn or something you'd see on Potter Sue.

As soon as I read the Morons Need Not Apply thread I immediately bookmarked DLP. Lurking the library I was stunned by the existence of so much quality writing: The Wise One Trilogy, Harry Potter and the Unlocked Knowledge, Song of the Trees, and The Potter Conspiracy are the main ones I remember during the honeymoon stage

After a year or so of lurking, I joined so I could access WbA. After skimming through most of the major discussion threads I came to realize that I wasn't imagining that FF.net is a cesspit, and DLP's purpose is mining for the diamond in the internet's river of shit.

So yeah, I do have a soft spot for MoR since it was pretty much my first introduction to fanfiction in general.
