Here I'd pegged Silk Spectre as Vash.
I'd take dibs on Dr. Manhattan, but it's a little stereotypical...

I thought the movie was ok. Nothing amazing or life altering as some people seem to see it as. I was entertained but I thought the movie had a shit load of flaws, and it seemed a bit preachy.

Really awesome flick, I thought all the superheroes where awesome.
Dr Manhatten was badass and Rorschach was brilliant in every scene. Best movie I've seen since Dark Knight, and I think I enjoyed it more actually. |

The movie had it's flaws but I still enjoyed it. A bit slow at times but it's Watchmen, so it made up for it. And Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach was fucking brilliant.
Even though I knew what was going to happen in the end. I still got pissed over it. Heard the directors cut is 4 hours long. If that gets released I probably will go see it again.

No I'm sorry the movie is good but Dark Knight is still far better and much more poignant. Dark Knight had a better message, a better story-line and a much better score. The fucking music made no sense and it killed a lot of the scenes in that movie.
Spoiler (highlight to show):
Also I just don't see how there can be such a large divergence by just having Manhattan around and the US winning the Vietnam war. Rorschach was entertaining and I like what the actor did with the character but the Clint Eastwood voice got annoying for me quickly. And all the Comedian puns got old really fast. "Guess he had his last laugh", "Guess I had the last laugh" "He was quite a comedian" "He wasn't that funny". Jesus I get it already. Joker had a double entendre name as well, and there weren't so many puns throughout Dark Knight. Maybe it's because I'm not really a fan of Watchmen ( I read the comic and liked it but I didn't think it was this great piece of literature), but the movie just didn't connect with me. I enjoyed it as a popcorn flick, but no way was I gripping my seat, or will I talk make mention of it in conversation like I did Dark Knight.

Hole-Lee Fucking Shit. The music was used in the most awesome way. The sex scenes where epic. The story stayed very close to the comic. Only a few minor details left out. And the movie ending wasn't as bad as I thought.

The music was well done. Mixture of some classics set the mood pretty well.

Right. I saw the movie, and I think that it was a decent adaptation. Yes, there were changes in the transition, but they didn't change my overall enjoyment of the film. It is, however, not as good as the graphic novel, and that owes mostly to the scenes that were changed or non-existent, especially the ending.
