Fanfiction.net update

It seems that the admins over at FF.net have expanded the list of characters in the Harry Potter section. It now lists 130 characters, and has OC added in; but they have yet to add Daphne Greengrass or Tracey Davis to the list. Bastards. They did add Hestia Jones, Merope Gaunt, and professors Vector and Sinistra, however, so it's not all bad.

OK, there is a new survey in the user section of FFN. There is no comment box, so we can't recommend a slash filter. Luckily I have devised an ingenious method of counter venting this inconvenience.

There is a section where you can enter your e-mail to be put in for a drawing in which you may win a $100 gift certificate. If you don't mind parting with this chance at winning, write your e-mail down as "PleasePutIn@SlashFilter.net" and submit. If we all work together, we will be heard, and the establishment will have to recognize us! Mwahahaha!

is this update the reason why Firefox really screwed up the way ff.net loads? Cause now I cant navigate it anymore.

It was screwy earlier, but seems back to normal to me.

And I hate to break it to you Blue, but I don't think putting in that fake e-mail will matter. I wouldn't be surprised if this is an independent company doing the survey and they're not sharing their freshly compiled new e-mail list with ff.net.

I mean, the Survey is only from logging in, knows your username, but asks for an e-mail address? This isn't going to be a comments form any human will ever see. Certainly not one at ff.net.

/me personally doesn't think a "slash" filter would even work. But it might be nice if they offered it as a "genre" so those writing slash could choose to characterize it and make it easily recognizable that way.

Ah well, it was worth a try, eh? I just can't sate my desire to fight the evil empire that is FFN. Maybe my appetite for destruction will calm down once there is a slash filter put in. Until then I just won't be satisfied.
