If this topic has been broached before, my apologies.

Anyway, can someone tell me why our votes cannot be changed? Is it a programming issue, or what?

I think a really classic example would be Unsung Hero. A lot of people who really liked the story might have, early on, rated it highly, but when the end came out, the BAWWWING could be heard here in Japan. I bet a lot of those people who gave it 4s and 5s really wish they could give it a 1 or a 2.

Assuming that a piece actually improved, I'm sure that there are a number of people who would rather be able to rate the story higher.

I suppose it might be a good idea. The point in turning it off was to prevent excessive bandwagoning, but changing votes would be good for most. I'll look into it.

    Edit: Changeable.

In that thing you call a closet. Better watch out,
I just tried this on one of the threads and got this: According to our records you have already voted on this thread. Changing votes is not allowed.

If anything, I think it will help put an end to bandwagoning, once said wagoning has been pointed out by the first few dissenters.

    Regardless - Cool.
