    The name implies exploration. I really, really like the sound of that.

    The movies tackled some mature themes, and the characters aren't kids anymore, but yeah, worried it could be kiddy filler. I'll be devastated if it is.

    Netflix original content has been pretty bang on so far. I'm just hoping they don't see this as widening their reach and making it Saturday morning cartoon fare.

    I don't think this is Netflix's original creation thing. HTTYD had a tv series after the first movie that sorta kinda acted as a bridge between the first and 2nd movies and they were already green-lighted for another season after the 2nd movie.

    It was called Dreamworks Dragons. It showed on Cartoon Network. Here's the wikipedia link explaining it.

    It's still just the 3rd season of the series that was already airing on Cartoon Network.
