i dont think i have ever seen a retarded!harry fanfic... i am probably going to hell for even suggesting it, but it would be amusing.

 

That's a really stupid idea, if I do say so myself.

Let me explain. What would the plot be? Harry explores his rubber padded cell? It'd make for a very dull story.

 

It a bluddy ridiculous idea, but when i read it, I had a good laugh. Voldemort giving harry the use of his legs again, and then taking it away.... HEHE

 

Heh, it would certainly be a ... unique take on the challenges that have Harry getting dropped on his head or something. It would be funny for a while, maybe a one shot, but i wouldn't read a whole story on it

Read 'The Curious Incident with the Dog in the Nighttime'. That worked brilliantly.

I envision an AU fic in which Harry goes hunting for 'horcruxes' inside a care home. He's not actually the Boy who Lived - that's just a product of dementia. Think of Calvin and Hobbes from the parents' perspectives - To Harry, it's all real; to others.... Hell, someone has done a fic in which Hogwarts has been a ballet academy - why not a special care home?

You'd have to tread very carefully when writing this fic - but I don't think sensitivity is something that we care very much about here.
