No kidding...I bought my current Dell about a year ago, and I throw at least one screaming fit at the piece of shit every day. How a company with such shoddy computers has risen to the top of the industry I will never know...

I personally use an Imac, which IMO is much more reliable than any PC.

I use an iBook, because that's what I'm used to. All the computers we've ever owned are macs.

Same here, I hate using the computers at school, not cause their old, which they actually aren't, they jsut got upgraded, but cause their PC's. As in, if it can go wrong, it does go wrong, and if it can't it still does.

I too have a crappy Dell. Something goes wrong and I spend at least an hour and a half on the phone with customer service (In India, might I add.) My school has some Dells, but mostly IMacs and IBooks.

YOu are soooo lucky your school has ibooks and imacs. My school has 2, 2 Imacs, both of them G5's, one in the computing department, and 1 in chemistry. and the only reason there is oen in chemistry, is because when the teacher who has it, was the acting head of department, he decided that the majority of the chemistry buget was best spent on getting him a G5 for his class room.

Are you serious? My school has about 50 Imacs, 20 PC's, and about 30 Ibooks. Of course, thats only for the students. Add up the teachers, then you have about twice that.

Dell is the top of the market becuase they do what Henry Ford did, produced a computer for the people. Cheap but gets the job done (Ironicall both there most famous models are black... interesting i just thought of that).

the motherboard of this PC and the CPU are ripped out of a Dell PC, so they're worth something... wait a second, my friend that bought the PC it was originally in paid 2 times what it was worth to start with.. meh.

Heh, that keyboard is a beast. I just have a small black keyboard. Nothing special about it. And a stock Microsoft optical mouse with scrolly wheel. Cant be bothered wasting money on a keyboard/mouse.

I'm going from a MS opical intellimouse with a nice hole in the palm I cut out to see the shiny red light, and this keyboard
    http://www.insidemacgames.com/images/inkb_001_l.gif

    to the g15 and mx1000.

The backlit keys alone are a major help, since my PC is in my bedroom and since my wife just took a day job, I wouldn't be able to game at night anymore, due to not seeing any of the fucking keys. (I can function just fine without seeing them, but it's a quirk, I need to be ale to see the keys clearly when I game.)

I REALLY wish the g15 came in wireless, but I doubt that'd be possible and still have the backlights.

If your really serious about gaming, then wireless will screw you over. It has a slower response.

Not unless you're playing with a wireless mouse that's old as hell Se7en

The newer stuff has no lag time so long as you're not 20 feet ++ from it, and even then you're talking parts of a second. My bluetooth mouse had to go back, due to absolute worthlessness of the bluetooth signal in the mouse, and the pathetic reciever strength of the dongle.

I do agree with playing with an old cordless mouse, I'd def. notice a 1-2 second lag randomly, but fairly often, and the weight of the damned things even 2 years ago made them a pain to play with.
