    Title: Scars Aren't So Bad
    Author: Wench of Hogsmead
    Rating: T
    Genre: Humor/Romance
    DLP Category: Humor
    Pairing: H/Hr
Summary: Hermione is trying to heal a scar of Harry’s for a charms assignment when he misinterprets “Is it hard yet?”
    Link: FF.nazi

Was looking through the author profile of the chick who wrote the "Daily Prophet My Ass!" fic, and found this.

I have two main gripes with it:
    • Pretty obvious the author is a shipper, and it influences the fic pretty centrally.
    • The main joke is spent in the summary.
Other than that, it's a nice short, funny read.

    High 3/5

Edit: Holy shit, do not check the reviews. Good god -_-.

(on an off topic note, does anyone else find it easier to accept flaws in short fics rather than 40 chapter ones?)

Nice one-shot. Slight H/Hr overtones aren't that bad IMO.

I was reading this last night, and it was funny. 4/5.

Some flaws are more tolerable in short fics, while others aren't. Mostly because if you invest a couple hours in a giant plot black hole you have every right to be upset -- whereas with 5 minutes you can overlook it.

Fairly amusing oneshot, if OOC. I can't see Harry every willingly opening up like that unless it was to someone he was dating: just a flat out 'no', just like he always says 'I'm fine'. Regardless, it was pretty funny, and Hermione and Ron were written very well, so I guess I can overlook Harry's OOCness... I just can't ever see him teasing anyone back like that in HBP.

    3.5/5 for great humor.

Pff, canon Harry is too teenager-ish. Everyone needs an OOC lightheared moment now and then.

In that thing you call a closet. Better watch out,
This author just isn't funny. Her stories don't appeal to me at all.

    2/5.

This did not appeal to me even in the slightest, i will give it 2/5 just because i actually got to the end of it, but it was a struggle.

Not terrible, but not above average either. Got a smirk out of me, but that's seriously about it. 2.3/5 (gonna round down)

For the record, I've given at least 6, maybe even 7 positive reviews. Although they are overshadowed by the hundred or so negatives.

Chuckle worthy, so it gets a 3/5 from me. And yes, Illusive has given some positive reviews before, this is the second one I can remember.

I give it a 4/5 cause I like the ship and it made me smirk. The last few lines were especially good.

I read this a while ago and I thought it was crap. Just re-read it, and I thought it was really crap. I suppose it’s just not my thing.

    Bleh. 2/5.

Worth a distracting chuckle before work. Although I must admit, there have been times when I've made a gaff not unlike Harry's regarding his last comment before being whaled on.
