Doubt it, but, you could always make multiple fanfiction.net accounts and subscribe with them. You need separate email addresses, though.

Maybe most of the lurkers here and the active members have already subscribed, at least that is my thought.

Has anyone made a connection yet to fics on the first few pages getting more hits than those on the later pages? Just wondering if the ones farther in the back are not getting as browsed as much.

I think rating matters a lot. My fics rated "M," which means people visiting the C2 have to switch the rating selection to "all" in order to see it. As long as they do that, my story's on the second page (top of first if sorted by update). If they don't, it's basically non-existent.

I haven't really seen an increase in traffic. Though it's hard to tell, 'cause I don't get a whole lot of hits in the first place haha. Still, can't complain - every little bit counts. Plus, it's an honor just to be on the list in the first place.

Yes, I've been wondering about that. For me it's been saying 579 members for the last 48 hours, whereas we'd been averaging a very regular 40 per day previously. So either there's a bug, maybe I'm not getting the right number, or maybe people have suddenly and mysteriously stopped joining.

Also, the rating for jack's Hero's Path is stuck at 4.49. Someone fucking rate it up so we can stick it in the C2 legitimately.

This now makes me say that we should only take stories at the rating at the time of recommendation, not just all the people who like it going and voting it 5 stars because they want to see it in the c2. That kinda undermines the purpose of the library in the first place.

Rate it what you think it deserves, not because you want to see it in the library.

If somebody likes a story enough to want it in the C2, they would probably give the library thread a five anyway.

That's retarded. The whole point was to make the library paramount in voting stories into the C2. People don't always bother rating old stories with high ratings in the library, or sometimes they can change their mind with hindsight. I know I personally wouldn't have bothered looking up Hero's Path previously, because it's already in the library with a high rating.

Bringing a story thread to people's attention allows them to vote on it and make the rating as good a reflection of DLP's opinion as possible. For example, the last 5 people voted 3/5 on average, and don't think it's library worthy. I don't have a problem with that (if, however, people are purposely giving artificially low ratings because of this thread, that's just mind-blowingly moronic).

Edit: Just to be clear, I totally agree that people should rate a story based on its merits in this situation or any other.

"There are 653 subscribers to this community."

Two more and we're top 15. Why FFNet has stopped updating us I have no idea.

The FFnet admins are too busy reading the fics in our community to do their jobs.

It updated. Also, we pwned "Harry and Draco's Love Shack" brutally.

Every time I read the name "Harry and Draco's Love Shack" I chuckle.

Shit like "GASP! It's Harry and Voldemort together!" is just 100% fail vs 99%.

29 more to knock that one down a peg.

Hmm... would making secondary accounts be unsportsmanlike?
