Sort of looks like the Daleks are defending the Doctor.

So much for keeping a low profile after his 'death'.

    Awesome.

Anyway, just found this thread, and I just want to say that I love this show. I finished power-watching the last two seasons recently, and I think Matt Smith is one of the better doctors. Can't wait for the airing of s7.

I've always felt that they wrote themselves into a hole with him dying. It'll be difficult to keep this under wraps. Well, unless he kills everything :awesome

As for the Daleks...well one season's worth of rest isn't bad.

Richard E. Grant will be the guest star villain in this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special. And with him involved I don't think Moffat will pass a chance to have some reference to Curse of the Fatal Death.

So, given the whole Fields of Trenzalor, the awesome trailer with tons of Daleks and the Doctor's Name being basically the end of the universe... Who thinks the lock on the Time War is going to be opened?

I don't think so after in the last 10th Doctor episode they had the Timelords trying to destroy the time vortex. Opening the Time lock seems to be an end of the universe/reality event.

Tom Ward, soon to be ex-Silent Witness "forensic" pathologist is also guest starring in the Christmas special - might we see a Victorian era alien dissection?

I don't think the time lock will be opened. I do however think that the Doctor's name has, in some timey-wimey spacey-wacey way, become a component of 'the Moment'. Which is why everyone is so fucking terrified of it.

Quick question guys, are the weeping angels indestructible? I mean can't you just break them once you're looking at them?

Oh and I just read somewhere that the doctor once had a "barbarian?"(someone from the uncivilized past) a highlander as a companion.

How was he? How did he cope the space and time traveling?

The Olympics special 5 minute episode had a Weeping Angel get blown up by the Olympic Torch. At the very end it's shown to start healing, or at least implied to be.

There was a special Olympic episode? How did I miss that?

Edit: and here it is. I think it's probably dubious, canon wise, but then we are talking about Doctor Who. We've seen them decayed through age (presumably) in the Angels two-parter, so they're not indestructable or immortal. Perhaps the whole quantum lock thing means they can't be harmed apart from when they're not being looked at? IIRC, they basically don't exist at that stage.

To be fair, I think that the Olympics episode was written by schoolchildren, so everythhing in it can be taken with a pinch of salt.

As for the Angels, when they are looked upon, they become "quantum-locked", which means they occupy a single position in space and are frozen and indestructible. Otherwise, I imagine they are fairly fragile (if you can move fast enough). So no, no smashing up with a sledge hammer.

IIRC In the Sally Sparrow episode where we first see the Weeping Angels they displace people from time and feed on the energy or something so they're decaying must be from not being able to get temporal energy or whatever it is not necessarily age.

Agreed. The Angels on Alfava Metraxis were starving, and losing their image as they did so. It's the reason the free Angel crashed the starship there; so that they'd have something to eat.
