Ranked 5s is a weird place, we went 4-1 in our initial games for placement and we ended up in Silver I whilst playing against 2 High Plat/low Diamond teams, albeit the MMR was pretty equal - we just got curb stomped skill wise.

Still, playing with 4 Dutch guys who have good English, though it can be a little quiet at times just listening to rapid Dutch fly past. On top of that, it's weird to actually experience the stress ranked 5s puts on players, and I have a very tiny idea of what pro's must feel like, even though what we're doing is pointless currently, outside just trying because why not.

Also been thinking of giving the caster position at Riot EU for the LCS season a shot, though with where I am currently, my awful camera control on top of basically no experience and terrible CV, it's not gonna happen. But hey, it can't hurt right? Time to see what the masteries look like on the PBE.

 

So how about those pylons?

 

Support changes went live. Anyone have any thoughts? I'll be able to try them out tonight, but sass of right now all of my traditional supports look completely gutted and I'll be posting my non-traditional ones (j4, kayle, etc) to abuse the new mechanics of boot lane for ranged. Oh hello +8 or more gold per hit. Really feels like melee got shafted hard with the + gold on champion kill mastery instead of gold on hit.

Support items in 2 seconds:

Goldstick :Aggressive Ranged Supports

Goldcoin: sustain or passive supports.

Goldshield: for any of you poor saps who go melee in botlane.

 

Well, it wasn't as support, but I just went Lulu mid, 20/5/14, with Lich Bane, Nashor's, Deathcap, Zhonya's, Void Staff, Sorc Shoes. 703 AP with Blue Elixir, if I remember. Passive hit for around 200 bonus per attack by itself(plus another ~105 from Nashor's), and W was a 100% in-combat movement buff for five seconds, with around 7 second cd.(so only around 2 second downtime)

Fun times were had.

Buy the shield ASAP, enjoy the easiest farm income of your life. Has to be nerfed in the near future, that item is insane. Me and a friend got 1500+ off of it in a 30 minute game which to me is nuts - Ancient Golem will probably get messed with as well, it beats everything else into the ground (again).

edit; Expecting to see more mages head bottom, traditional supports have their place but I think they'll start disappearing now, Taric might make a comeback though.

edit 2; Yup, Targon's Embrace already been nerfed to 3 charges on PBE, wouldn't be surprised for it to lose some stats too.

Literally the first big change that RIOT does that is decent and you say you have a problem with it? What.

 

4th season, time of supports has arrived :3 Sad though that I won't be able to effectively mid with Janna, now that they've reduced the 'nado's damage :'(

And is it just me or the new masteries are kinda OP?

 

Nah, I really like the new Masteries. If anything, when they changed the masteries in Season 3, they got overly weak.

 

I keep trying to play, but then I see my blank mastery pages and I just can't face learning all that shit again.

Also my health bar is yellow. I can't play until someone works out how to change it back to the awesome purple I had before.

 

Maybe colorblind mode?

 

Nah, it's not that. I fiddled with some .ini files and changed the look of the health bars a few months ago. Now that the health bars have been redesigned, I'm too lazy to work out what the new edits should be.
