Cherrypicking and idolizing Emma Watson? Sure does, yeah.
I mean, I posted this on SV recently, but you could turn that around pretty easily.

Hermione Granger and the Time I Spent The Whole Climax In A Magical Coma

That sounds like the title of a disgusting rape-fic, which probably has already been written.

Actually, I think it'd be better if Hermione was removed from the books completely.

    Anyway, have a funny:

Warlocke did something like this, quite a while ago, in this very thread I believe:

Hermione Granger and That Time Harry Saved Me from a Friendless Life while Solving The Mystery with a Chocolate Frog Card.

Hermione Granger and The Wrong Hair.

Hermione Granger and The Opportunity I Wasted with The Time Machine Because I Forgot to Make Time for Sleep.

Hermione Granger and That Time I helped Harry Learn The Summoning Charm Before Beginning My Obsession with a Boy Who is Dismissive of My Roots and Belittles My Interests.

Hermione Granger and That Time I Chastised Harry for Not Submitting to Mind Rape and Unilaterally Decided What Was Best for an Entire Race without Even Talking to Them.

Hermione Granger and The Hypocrisy of a Hormonal Bookworm Who Was Proven Wrong in The End.

Hermione Granger and The Folding of Ron's Undies While Telling Harry The Hallows Were Not The Answer.

Warlocke is the best DLP writer who only writes via forum snippets.

Aww, you guys are gonna make me blush.
Have some crossover shit (and, if it looks too small, click on it).

It has been... at least twice... (it was the Weasley twins and Peeves, respectively.) :rrou:

This kind of thing drives me nuts. Yes, people who think Harry was a complete badass throughout the books need a dose of perspective, but people who think Hermione was so flawlessly awesome that she should have been the heroine of the books need a dose of anti-psychotic meds.

The series would have ended at the troll or, barring that, the first time she had to think under pressure (something she was remarkably bad at in the books, but the movies did their damnedest to completely forget) in a life or death situation.

Make Hermione the main protagonist and you have your choice of...
A: Her parents don't fit the profile of the prophecy at all and aren't killed. Good luck having your plot make sense. Your hero has a completely normal pre-Hogwarts childhood, but can't make friends because she's bossy, hidebound, and a teacher's pet. No more tragic back-story.
B: Hermione is given Harry's back-story. Now you've just lost the main proof in the series that blood purity is immaterial, and that a muggleborn can be just as good at magic as the purebloods, because the notion of blood purity is baseless racism. You know, one of the author's main points in the series.

Oh, but we can give those traits to Harry and make him the muggleborn with dentist parents and oh-look-Harry-is-now-everything-Hermione-was-so-we-should-totally-make-him-the-main-protagonist! Back to square one... :facepalm
Here's their Hermione Granger series: It's one book long, that book being titled Hermione Granger and The Preteen Tragedy, and here are the last lines (on the bright side, the last word is "scar," just like JKR said it would be)...
"She is the flattest witch of her age I've ever seen."

Snape wrinkled his nose at the scene before him, "I see no difference."

"Severus, my boy, try to separate her from the troll's club and see to returning her remains to her parents; find a nice box, no transfiguration, conjuration, or shrinking charms. I have condolences to send and, alas, Hallmark does not produce a card for this most regrettable scenario.

"Perhaps it is for the best: Had she lived, this would have left an incomparable scar."

Ain't no probably about it, bushy.
