When trading gets added I could see people using lures and then forcing people to trade their rare Pokemon. A real life Pokemon Rocket.

 

Hadn't bothered taking down the local gym yet but I'm after overhearing a kid talking to his friend about him taking it over this morning.

I take a look and sure enough it's in red.

Time to ruin a child's day.

 

So I live across the street from Johnson and Wales, which is a cooking/hospitality school in miami. They are also all Team Red assholes who spend an inordinate amount of time training up their Gym.

The thing is usually level 6-7, and often has an 800-1000 pokemon sitting on top.

I've tried toppling it a few times, but I'm always stopped by the gym bugging out and doing the 1 hp thing. Yesterday I tried again, and a few students walked by where I was parked and realized what I was doing.

We talked for a bit, and they told me they had called their buddy with a 1400 Vaporeon to come take it back, regardless of what I did. Motherfuckers take their gym defense seriously : (.

 

A lot of schools are gyms. And a Lot of schools are also polling places. I can see a lot of "fuck Trump" "Bernie 2016" "Hillary for prison" named Pokemon holding those gyms.

 

Some new gyms have popped up in my area with nobody claiming them. Going for a walk tonight to hoover them up.

 

So it seems you can capture a Pikachu as your starter monster if you walk away from the three options a couple times. Since I was only able to play for a couple hours before they region locked Brazil pending the game release over here I'm seriously considering resetting my account just to get Pikachu. That said, I would be losing my growlithe, ryhorn, charmander and clefairy so I'm wondering if it's worth it

 

Its not worth it.

You can hatch a pikachu fairly easily. Egg incubators are one of the better investments for Coins imo, but you should wait til youre a decent level before buying them. That way when they hatch they'll be higher CP.

Your starter doesn't matter. It's like 10CP, you need to catch several more before you can evolve / level up.

 

In case you didn't know, don't forget to use Razz Berries with tough pokemon.

Makes your next throw higher%. I think you start getting them at 6-8. No need to hoard either, you get plenty.

 

So...guys. Whats the cheapest phone that'll run this thing? As a guy called Red, I'm going insane from not being able to play this game with my old, outdated phone.

 

I know S3's DO NOT run it- have two friends who were upset by that.

 

That's my case. I had to install it on my tab S 8.4". Although my roommate has a rooted s3 and managed to run it after they blocked our country since the orientation on his tab S 10.5 got bugged on the game. The Appstore says you need a 4.4 adroid device with at least 2gb ram.

 

My LG 4 plays it fine and it's hovering around $170 - $280 unlocked.
