Okay so apparently there's a new type if I'm understanding the latest release right? Null type, whatever the fuck that is... I assume it has no advantages or disadvantages and is even across the board.

Alolan Raticate is Faticate. Tony Soprano, anyone?

They're introducing an in game version of Instagram/Pokemon snap.

There's a new entirely good team opposed to Team Skull with their own secret island.

The versions are set 12 hours apart and I have no idea what the idea behind that is.

IT'S ALL SO MUCH TO TAKE IN.

Type:Null seems to be a Pokémon, and the separate times are just one of the regional gimmicks, probably. If it is, it doesn't change a lot, except for stuff like nocturnal evolutions and so on.

Seratin, Type: Null is actually the name of the Pokemon. It's a synthetic Pokemon constructed from bits and pieces from other Pokemon. In terms of game mechanics, Type: Null is considered Normal-type.

Personally, I'm really excited about the ~Dancing~ Bird known as Oricorio. The damn thing looks so happy and spiffy, which almost inspires me to pick up a flamenco class. The Electric/Flying potential doesn't hurt either.

Every video is making the new games seem more exciting, I don't know how much more awesome stuff they can fit in here.

Don't even mind the derpy lookin' Raticate.

I hated Raticate at first but the more I looked at it the more it looks just like a stereotypical little fat mob boss.

Yungoose and Gunship were brought in because the Rattata population got out of control. It's the classic, "City overrun with mafia crime and a special detective gets called in to counter them" angle.

Though I still say the starter final forms are a bit Sucky.

Also could we get a sun/moon version poll up in here?

What makes you so sure whatever leaks are out there aren't just fake mon? There have been consistent leaks of info since Sun/Moon were announced but these leaks come in the forms of details announced in the next trailer a couple days before the trailer is out. Back in X and Y the starter final evos didn't leak until the game was released early in some places and people actually played it and took photos. Now, when I consider how many fake starter Pokemon I saw touted to be the new starters for the next Pokemon before we got the real info I have a hard time believing any leaks.

They look very on point of what I'd expect, very detailed leaks from the same source that has had multiple leaks either confirmed or all but confirmed. Though if they are true then the dude's other leak must be true too, that the starters have a different final form depending on what time of day they're evolved at.

That, at least, seems very anti-formula and is the only thing giving me pause.

I've added a poll to this thread, on Seratin's suggestion: Which version are you planning to get?

Apparently he's named Nariya Oak, and he's the good Professor's cousin

I can't remember the last time I chose between game versions, with Pokemon. Since I've had the capability and could get them for myself, I've gotten both. Fuckin' love Pokemon, and I need them all to keep my collection complete. :D

It's interesting that the pill shows an even split so far despite Solgaleo being the most badass looking legendary since... Actually it's the best looking legendary so far.

To me, Lunaala looks like an Yyveltal and Cresselia got jiggy.

You mean Solgaleo looking like a Pyroar clone? :p

But there are other differences to take into account - apparently the two games are set 12 hours apart. I was planning on getting Moon originally, but being able to play in the middle of the night and have it be sunny in-game is a nice plus for me, since I do most of my game time before bed.

Huh, I'd never actually thought of it like that concerning the time differences.

And sush. It may look like a Pyroar clone but the thing is fucking majestic.
