    Yeah...

Fuck everything about the month of December, if this is going to be a recurring thing every year.

For reference it would be AYAW 4.
MINEr it's more of a basic version.

    Should I post sign-ups then?

Two months in, what does everyone think about these changes?

Personally, I think removing thumbs is a positive change and removing the Currently Active Users box would also be great. However there are issues with the change to editing.

The biggest issue is that OPs can't edit their posts anymore - that means game mods can't update player lists, create bookmarks, or fix vote count mistakes.

Also, we often have people from observer chat who post vote counts (and other updates) at the request of the game mod. It's slightly inconvenient not to be able to edit those posts - like if you're posting a VC and someone changes their vote right as you click submit.

    Thoughts?

I think a reversion to previous edit rules would probably be best, since as you said, sometimes people other than the OP have reason to edit posts.

Palindrome is working on a hotfix for this at this very moment. Stay tuned.

Done and working! What was before was a mess of user permissions held together by hope and ducktape is now a proper plugin. Since it doesn't rely on usergroups it should actually work for other people who aren't me.

Said plugin will be live tomorrow - for today you can enjoy being given your edit buttons back until they're again cruelly snatched away from you.

It seems tomorrow has come early, though. Let Palindrome know if there are any troubles.

Implemented this. You should now only be able to see the active users if you are the OP of the thread.

No promises, but I was vaguely thinking about making a way to automatically count and display votes.
