I like Havoc's one better.

While Jon's has more effects, I preferred Havoc's colour scheme.

I only skip parts that would make it worse. It came out better than if I had followed the same directions as you.

 

This is questionable. To be honest, yours looks a lot more fluid that it should; it looks like you should have either sharpened the shapes in the background or tried for a more gritty feels to counteract that. I'm not great myself, but it does seem as if yours comes on a bit strongly.

 

And yours needs to be less bright >_>. And that's what I was going for. So you could actually SEE the girl instead of putting red and blue boxes on either side of her and then using the blur tool. And not to mention it was a half-assed attempt.

I would but I suck hardcore at rendering. Make Jon or Havoc do it. Or Poytin I guess if you don't care about quality. >_>
