Only reveals Elder Witches. There's also two Little Witches that are scum and the Bishop won't turn them up.

wait fuck that means my Inquisitor advice that a successful Bishop claim is a slam dunk wasn't correct. It's still super valuable though, so if there's any doubt about a Bishop claim you should probably still verify it (ditto Zealot)

Here's the TLDR for roles: Don't claim outside of exceptional circumstance. If you're getting lynched, we don't care about your role unless you're Holy, the DOB or the LC.

(seriously though, shouldn't some inforoles claim their info when facing the lynch? The GD/UT can verify them, and for everyone the Spiritualist can verify and the PT knows to pick up the info if we really need it. Seems like a waste for that info to disappear...)

It's completely neutral though. That post is one flat tire.

I'm interested in this as well.

On the one hand, it helps witches zero in on both the priest and each other (little/elder).

On the other hand, the soup kill is limited, and some of our information roles are bound to end up with game-changing info that town needs. Losing that info to a lynch seems like a net negative in many cases.

Of course, WH players as a whole claim too much, so it's not bad advice to avoid claiming until you're sure it benefits town.

I mean, it makes sense for undertaker/gravedigger to not claim until needed, unless up for lynch.

I wasn't under pressure, I accidentally told everyone my role as I was SUCCESSFULLY SCUMHUNTING. I should maybe be jailed for leaking CLASSIFIED INFORMATION.

Let's look at the info roles, from a 'town getting lynched' perspective

gd/ut - Can claim and share just alignments - X was town, Y was elder, etc. Role info is not info we want to share with the witches.
peeper - no info if not activated & unless the prior peak was gd pair, not info we want to share
teller - not info we want to share
spirit - Maybe? It kind of depends the stage of the game.
inq - not info we want to share

My point was more that there are no roleclaims except holy that will prevent a lynch on oneself.

Jari is almost 100% town.

Everyone else is somewhere in between.

 

Yeah ok not wanting claimed info to go to witches point is good and not one I'd properly considered. For my part, I'd like GD/UT to do the claim you specified for additional reasons I don't want to go into unless it actually happens. One caveat though: Should probably only claim town/scum so they're not e.g. revealing that a Little Witch or Agent is dead.

I'm actually still going back to Lynch: KaiDASH though since owner is currently away and there's little point in pressuring them right now as a result. That latest post is good, but also comes after Jari said "kai's previous post was mechanic talk that isn't really anything new to benefit town" so kind of gets a side eye for that. (At least that's what I interpreted Jari's criticism as?)
