Note: These aren't anything new, porting the rules from vB as announcements disappeared.

DLP lives by a few simple rules. Each section may have specific guidance, look for sticky threads.
    1. You must use proper English. This means using proper grammar, spelling, capitalization, and writing techniques. Of course for those who don't speak English natively we'll help you, just ask. If you really have trouble we'll help anyways, but at least put out your best effort.
    2. Avoid necroposting. Only post in an old thread if you have something damn good to say. Library threads and WBA threads are excluded from this, as we want your opinions. This doesn't mean you may post "they updated!" You must be adding to the discussion. This determined at the staff's discretion.
    3. Don't post horrible stories for review "just because". If it's a guilty pleasure destined for Almost Recommended, fine, but avoid the real dregs.
    4. Post intelligently. Don't post useless garbage, but actually contribute to discussions. For real life discussions, always make sure to research answers in order to save everyone's limited patience for stupidity and your fragile reputation.
    5. Don't take everything so personally. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. That said, don't be unnecessarily caustic. You'll sound smarter and you'll be taking the high road.
    6. Only have one account. The staff can change your username/email/etc., so you should have no reason to need two accounts. If you're sharing computers with another DLPer on a regular basis, let the staff know so we don't ban one of you.
Two strikes, you're out. Depending on the severity we may temporarily ban you rather than permanently.

Be sure to check out the Global Sticky Index & DLP FAQ for more information.
